Racecourse Road in Ascot, Brisbane is foodie joy with several restaurants on this strip, there is bound to be something for everybody. It is also the place where I found one of the best patisseries in Brisbane – Le Bon Choix. With seating inside it is the perfect place to have an afternoon coffee and cake.
After the review of the Halmet on Charlton last week that reminded me the experience of having the almond croissant here last time. It was the similar situation that I tried to compare the almond croissant from this renowned French boutique to the one at the Halmet so drove there to explore this morning.
Although it is Mother’s Day today but it is reasonably busy not so crowd with people.
Ordered the almond croissant with a flat white. It only took five minutes to have both things in hand. I took a seat at the nearby bus stop to consume the brekkie. Honestly, the result is the same, it’s almond croissant is let down by those from the Helmet.

Great coffee and cakes but can be crowded. Noisy and clattery but the coffee is good and the pastry also good. Air conditioned and comfortable seating.
