Quick weekend brunch at Little Clive in Annerley, which I have long had on my list to try. Situated very close to Mr L's place of residence, we ambled over on Saturday morning for brunch. Already quite famished, we ordered quickly and I forgot to snap a picture of the menu. . Our coffees were served very quickly though, with two steaming hot cappuccinos ready in no time. These were strong and bitter but the milk could have been a bit smoother. It definitely did its job in keeping me awake though.
Stopped in here after gym as across the road. Late' and ham & cheese croissant was delicious. Nice ambience and friendly staff.
Will come back again.
Re-visit this café since my first time nearly three years ago. Service is consistently friendly and hospitable. Ordered a cup of flat white and savoury dish of Classic Reuben Sandwich. Coffee is definitely improved that matches my palate with right strength and smoothness. Reuben sandwich came with generous portions. Ingredient of the corned beef is thick cut and there are plenty of pickles accompanied with the sandwich. Needless to say, my little bird stomach cannot accommodate the big serving of sandwich so half of the bread was left over. Sorry chef!

Arrived this cafe before the normal trading hour and the friendly waitress told me to go back in another fifteen minutes very politely. Wandering around the area and went back, they were opened so ordered a cup of coffee and a poached egg with smoked salmon. The venue accommodates about 40 customers and there are four staff working there so it is a reasonable labour force. Coffee and savory meal came in a reasonable period of time. I found the coffee was average but the savory dish should deserve a thumb-up. The egg was poached with perfect timing and plating skill is good that enhances the aesthetic effect on the whole dish. Beetroot purée and pickles reduce the greasy feeling from the egg yolk (that is the reason that I don't order eggs quite often), which lead to a well balanced flavor with smoked salmon and the sourdough. Well done.
Paying homage to the tastes of Queensland. The waffles are a toasted coconut waffle with caramelised white chocolate crumb, mango ice cream and coconut foam. Man, that mango ice cream was delicious. Not usually a fan of coconut, but I really didn't mind it in this. Just really enjoyed the overall balance... and of course, check out the close-up ;)
The Best Pancakes that I have ever had, let me repeat myself. The BEST Pancakes that I have ever had. they make pretty awesome coffee and the service is pretty great as well. i will be going back!
This cafe has been a bit of a staple for me for about 3 years if I ever want a nice breakfast. I went on sunday morning with my partner. I ordered the chicken and waffle which was absolutely amazing, made me realise I've never left a review!
The coffee here is also fantastic, I would come here many mornings to grab a take away for the drive to work, I wish I lived close by again so I could put my loyalty coffee card to good use.
Keep up the great work guys, fantastic menu, great service.
Crowded on Sunday for brunch. Staff were attentive and helpful while we waited for space. Efficient service once seated. Staff dealt well with being a man down on a busy day. Eggs Benedict w bacon very nice, plenty of spinach and not overpowered by hollandaise. Waffle of the month was a little daunting, fairy floss probably unnecessary to be honest, but very nice. I will be back on a less frantic day for coffee and a paper.
I've visited little Clive cafe a few times now but only for hot drinks. So this review is only for just that.
When I walked in there were quite a few people eating out on the courtyard area and appeared to be all happy and there were a couple of young ladies in the cue to order & I witnessed a few meals leaving the kitchen en route to the people who ordered them all The meals looked very appetising. I usually order a big soy chai latte but under recommendations from the ladies in front of me I ordered a big Almond milk Chai Latte !! It was very nice. I may have to make it my norm.
My drink was hot, it was served quick and and staff said good morning !! No complaints.
I'm looking forward to dining in and trying some good food.
Update: 17/08/18
Finally got the opportunity to eat breakfast here.
I ordered the mushroom burger which comes with chips and a large soy chai.
The mushroom burger and chips cost $18.90 and the soy chai was nearly $6.
The burger was ok. Tasted fresh but it was not what I was expecting. Yes It says roasted field mushroom on the menu but I was expecting a patty of roasted field mushrooms , in the same way a lentil or black bean burger isn't just that in a burger, but that's just what I expected.
The whole mushrooms on my burger were not cooked enough in my opinion and so were a bit chewy and a lot of liquid came out from them and / or from the salsa and so made the bread roll a bit soggy and a little difficult to eat by hands luckily My meal was served with a knife and fork which made the eating job easy. It Was a delicious and tasty meal and The service was friendly and courteous. Thanks very much. SARDS
The food is always top notch, for lunch we had the vegan linguine and the waffles of the month, an orange juice and a cappuccino. We always sit in the shaded outdoor area, efficient and very polite staff and the food is always fresh, and very Instagram worthy! Parking isn't generally an issue during weekday brunches. Toilets are located just a few shops down and are clean.
I went to cafe it is very good but coffee is great the food and the waitress was wonderful the inside and outside is great I might go back there again one day it is great and great smile
What a nice little surprise! Found this place when we had to be in Annerley one morning. Good coffee, super friendly staff and plenty of locals dropping in for breakfast on the covered deck. Dog friendly too.
We went to little Clives this morning, the service was great, however I am only giving 4 star cos they offered us cold water but forgot to bring it out as they were busy!!! The food was delicious and always and the staff were friendly and helpful as we were nearly going to order just some chips as well as our meals but it was recommended it comes out huge!! So knowledgeable of the menu was great and the food came out hot and fresh
Great little cafe serving big coffees and great value breakfasts. If I can get an awesome breakfast and coffee for under $25, I'm satisfied.
Plus they put the little flowers on your food so you know it's just a little bit fancy. 🌸
We are hitting the breakfast jackpots recently. Found little gem online from a food blog and was not disappointed. The food is really high quality, delicious and prepared for coeliacs - very impressed. The staff have mastered easy-going and friendly with extreme attentiveness and it was a lovely experience. Great coffee too.
Easy parking and very well priced. Will return.
Great customer service. Very professional and quick to be served. The breakfast wrap was delicious. It looked a little small but the flavour made up for it. Good bacon and tasty sauce. The wrap bread tasted home made. Banana smoothie was sweet and creamy. I would have preferred if they chose to use biodegradable takeaway cups and straws, time to cut out the plastic! The prices are on the high end but the taste makes up for it. Dog friendly.
I don’t usually review takeaway coffee, but I had to share this experience! One of the best coffees I’ve had recently. Perfect temperature and smooth blend.
To add, the staff were friendly and super efficient! The cafe was busy for takeaway coffees, but mine was ready in a few minutes. Would definitely come back to dine in and try the food! Thanks Little Clive!
