Great food and service - what more could you want to brighten up your weekend! Would highly recommend giving this gem a go. Top notch cold brew and good variety of food.
A nice little cafe tucked away in the corner. Outdoor undercover seating gives a hipster, honey feel. The menu seemed a little overpriced with the average meal about $18. I got the blueberry bagel and my husband got the jerk chicken wrap and both were fresh and delicious!! Our food didn't take long to come out. Extra points because they allowed a great dane in the seating area and brought out water for her.
Dined in at Banter Coffee house near closing time, but was still welcomed and didn’t feel rushed or pressured to order and eat quickly. Great welcome greeting from front of house staff!
Mango smoothie arrived first, better than average but still not the best. Still yum with a great consistency.
Banter brekky and Jaffle arrived at the same time.
I started with the Jaffle while my partner ate the banter brekky (but saved me a slice of toasted sourdough and the two eggs).
I didn’t really get the honey taste :( and there was a bit too much ricotta for my liking. The chocolate sauce was a big no from me🙅🏻♀️ but the pear and ice cream were delicious. And the fairy floss a nice surprise.
I tasted most components of the banter brekky and it was pretty darn good. Eggs were perfectly poached and runny. Mushroom and potato hash were delicious. Although I didn’t eat any, partner said that the bacon was. “So good. Like, sooooo good”. 👍🏻
Overall, would recommend!
Food was delicious, I ordered the red velvet pancakes & a flat white.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
They have nice new clean toilets only a short walk away.

Went here last month when I was house sitting nearby, and ended up coming here twice for the vegan avo on toast (+ tomatoes) ! Sooo delicious. The vegan option comes with the most devine cashew cream cheese instead of eggs.
The coffee here is great too, and the pomegranate frappe I had was super refreshing also.
I brought my parents here on a Saturday or Sunday around lunch time, and despite being busy, service was quick!
The Other Cafe to Deedot, went for Sunday Brunch. But without the lineups that Deedot gets. Situated in a somewhat recently constructed strip shops, it is definitely the draw card in amongst other good offerings. I had the Stacks On! which was tasty as. The coffee's great as to be expected and the staff were friendly and on the ball.
Nice little cafe so close to home! The staff directed me to a table then brought out a menu and advised I must order at the counter. I ordered a chai latte and the vegan rainbow bowl! This came out in less than 10 minutes which was great. The chai latte was quite small but tasted nice and the rainbow salad was very pretty and delicious!
Visited a second time with the family! Staff again were so lovely and all of our food was amazinggg. I can't get over the vegan rainbow bowl, it is packed with so many delicious flavours!! I tried the tumeric latte this time and that was also very tasty! One of our fave brekky spots now!
A great local spot. Great menu, even including a few vegan options. The staff are friendly and the food is awesome, more like a Melbourne brunch spot. For those who are ex-Melbourne like me.
Delightful little spot tucked away in Wondall Rd village. I ordered the confit pork belly with pistachio dukkah crumbed poached eggs, apple hollandaise and flatbread. The pork was melt in your mouth delicious and the dukkah was a beautiful accompaniment to the eggs (which were poached perfectly) and flatbread. My friend had the eggs Benedict with ham. He said it was right up there with the best (big call). Coffee was strong and smooth. We also shared the shoestring fries with truffle and parmesan which was slightly reminiscent of McDonald's fries but tasty nonetheless.
The only thing that prevented me from giving a perfect score is the fact that although we got two coffees, they only acknowledge one on the loyalty card. So you just need to purchase coffee eight times before receiving your freebie. Nit picky of me perhaps, but I openly confess that coffee cards do buy loyalty. That being said, I would definitely come back.
You guys are my go to brunch spot because you get it so right everytime! You put a great twist on an everyday traditional dish and really push the limits to excite the taste buds with every dish! Love the Asian infusion. I have never been disappointed. Keep it up!
Banter is hands down the best brunch cafe in Brisbane. I have not found another which is consistently as good, or as creative! The food is incredible, and the cafe is extremely well run. A must visit!!!
Really enjoyed the nourish bowl. Lots of flavours and well presented. The rest of the menu also sounded quite nice and you got a good portion with the sides.
Super yummy calamari and chorizo salad, iced tea and iced taro! Bit hot, could do with mist spray and fans in summer. Otherwise would have given five stars

- No asking for salt and pepper it's on every table
- Water jug delivered to you (enough water for multiple cups woohoo!)
- Plenty of seating but also a fair amount of space between each table (Could concentrate on my own convos)
- Great walls around the coffee house so you don't feel like you're in a carpark at all (even @8:30am rush hour)
Personal experience:
I came at peak morning rush and was dining in. I got told to take a seat and someone would take my order. I was served water and table was set, but 20mins went by and no one came to take my order. It seemed to happen to another table as well. So overall I wasn't blown away by the customer service experience, but in saying that it wasn't the staffs attitude, just attention to service at a busy period. When I went up to speak with staff and order they were friendly.
Very good cafe! The staff were run off their feet and still had excellent service. We had to wait for some tables to clear but that only took a couple of minutes.
The coffee was delicious and the food was quite nice.
I had the ‘stacks on!’ (vegetarian option - they swap bacon for 1 mushroom). I would have liked to have a bit more than 1 mushroom for the price.
The outside area is nothing flashy but is comfortably spaced, which makes the experience enjoyable and doesn’t feel like you’re sharing the table with the people next to you. I’ll definitely be back to try some other meals!
Come here for the drinks (especially coffee), but also enjoy the food. My taro latte was done to perfection WRT temperature, consistency (factoring oat milk) and presentation. The waffles I had were not incredible, but a nice sweet; would recommend their savory items more.

A nice place to sit down and eat. Coffee is very good and food very yummy. The menu is a little pricey and there are not many lunch options as it's mostly catered to breakfast.
