It didn’t take long at all for our meals. The food was good but not that great compared with other Turkish we had been. However the service was second to none.

Great Share Platter for 4! Amazing quality of meats, $30per head, with plenty left over. Atmosphere was fantastic and will be back for more!
Dine here regularly. Food always good and a wide ranging menu. Service is good and not intrusive and prices are reasonable. Good dining experience.
Really very good and would have scored higher if they had a decent wine list. Beers and most alcoholic drinks were $5 so that's excellent. Food was very good as well. $28 for the mixed grill was great value and the food very tasty. The 1923 dips had a lovely smoke flavour band bread was fresh from the oven. Overall I thought it was great. Make it byo wine or improve the options and this place will be hard to beat.
What an enjoyable atmosphere! Friendly staff and management, and absolutely delicious food. We were amazed by the quality and flavours. Highly recommended!
This restaurant is just a across the river from us & we only just discovered it. What a find! A gem, where lively entertainment & friendly accommodating staff paired with good food all equates to a wonderful evening out. Starting off with the dip platter of babaganoush, hummus, patlican & celery served with fluffy, Turkish bread we were almost full with the generous serve. Then the sizzling mains arrived. My vegetarian Guvec consisted of a bowl of chunky eggplants, potatoes, peas, carrots & rice along with more of that amazing bread. Not to mention those hot green chillies (requested) Flavor overload seriously. Highly recommended we loved oyr evening so thank you

Lots of options on the menu. Staff were very friendly and able to offer great recommendations from the menu. Entertainment was fun and energetic. Most importantly, ALL of the food we ordered was delicious and portion sizes made the prices really good value.

Special shout-out to fellow reviewer Monica for recommending the vego pide. Ordered same and had to do a takeaway as well as it was a very generous portion. Also, dessert space. Enough said! Lol

This place was where Mado once was and I like what Istanbul 1923 have done with the place. Courtyard looked good too.
Service and food were wonderful. The chefs in the kitchen were old school and friendly. Loved that.

This restaurant is a must go. I could not fault one thing. The staff were lovely and friendly and the food, the food was amazing, tasty, packed with flavour. We ordered from the banquet menu and one from the main al carte menu.
Have dined at this restaurant a few times & have always enjoyed the food. Generous servings & flavoursome, authentic Turkish /Mediterranean dishes.
The food and drinks were served promptly and were very delicious. Service was friendly and courteous. The atmosphere is lovely. We got the banquet for two, their servings were very generous and too much so we had to take it home. Reheats yay So delicious! Will be back, thank you!
It was nice. It wasn't a knock your socks off fancy restaurant, but that's not what I was looking for. I wanted somewhere nice to go for lunch with my friends, and eat some nice wholesome Turkish food. And it was, it was very nice. Would I go back again? Most definitely.
Had lunch here with my friend and I have to say the food is amazing. The lamb cutlets were cooked perfectly and were bursting with flavour, as was the Turkish bread and yoghurt served. My friend also stated his food was very tasty. Will definitely be coming back.
Great service, prices and atmosphere. The lamb cutlets are to die for! The mixed grill is such good value and everything was so beautifully cooked. Parking can be a little tricky but this place is worth driving around for!
Wow we went for a family dinner and had an amazing experience with delicious food. The staff went above and beyond. My mother requires gluten free and they delivered share platters and banquet meals with options of both to cater for us all. We definitely recommend this restaurant.
