Luv A Coffee

They are very timely the coffee is great they food is great I've been with them nearly 15 years they always they always the manager is good and friendly always tell my friend to go there and I hope people go there

As a previous employee, I feel that Luv A Coffee is arguably one of the best cafes in Brisbane. Some places I've worked  I wouldn't eat at because once you've seen how it's prepared it loses it appeal - but that's not the case at Luv A Coffee Buranda. The food is incredibly fresh and well-prepared, coffee is lovely and the organisation and management are fantastic. There's a reason they've been around for so long. Lovely memories and great food and drinks.

Luv a Coffee significantly exceeded my expectations.

I stopped in for a late lunch (all day breakfast on the weekend) before grocery shopping at Woolworths and ordered the French Toast, Bacon and an Iced Latte.

The French Toast was amazing! Who deep fries French Toast? Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, this was delicious and rated 4.5.

The bacon was plentiful and wonderful - this rated a 4.

The coffee - Di Bella - was better than average (and quite large) and rated 3.5.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable meal. I will certainly return for the French Toast and Bacon.

Although we order the same thing every time the manage to keep it consistent. Club sandwich and chai lattes are a winner. Friendly staff. And generally smooth service. It keeps us coming back.

Luv a Coffee - Buranda, Brisbane. Previously, I have had a coffee from here before. My dining buddy/housemate had arrived home with it and from memory (though it was many moons ago), the coffee was really good and tasty. It was strong, tasty and had a smooth consistency. However, I had vowed not to make a review until I tried some of their food - or at least a sweet alongside it. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before somehow coming back here if it were possible.

After another shopping trip for groceries with my dining buddy, that came into fruition. Looking around Stone's Corner, each cafe there had either been visited or did not quite appeal therefore it was off to elsewhere. Nearby is Buranda Centro, and he had a coffee shop in mind so upon loading the car with groceries and having a game plan - it was off to elsewhere for a post-shopping coffee. That destination came with some closure to voting - Luv a Coffee at Buranda.

As far as what it offers, it is more or less the usual expected food from a mall cafe. There are several types of breakfasts, the lunchtime range of burgers and sandwiches, plus salads. Not to mention the array of dessert items in the cabinet to marvel at. That is not to discount Luv a Coffee, as it is good quality and well-presented as a cafe. Judging solely based on coffee and cake, it is actually really good.

It is right at the tail-end of the Buranda Centro Mall - which itself is a fairly low-key one, that looks functional and has a number of stores that are still fruitfully running - and does not have that unfortunate setback often associated with mall cafes - lack of natural light. Right next to it are the entry/exit glass sliding doors and there might have even been some al fresco tables. There is the constant plus of having self-service water there. Next to the service counter is a filter tap and a pile of glasses to fill up for each table. It might seem to be a small aspect of a cafe, but to me it is always a good one to have.

The service is also pretty friendly and pleasant, which added to the vibe of the place. It is counter service, and you are given a table number. Also at the same counter are people getting orders to-go, and all the base extras to add into coffee (also for people eating in). The waitstaff are generally pleasant and have a good work ethic. It is neat and orderly inside, showing that they have a great deal of care to their work. This pays off with a busy cafe; there were plenty of people there at the time.

Within the local area, this is the place to go to for getting a coffee. It proved to be just as good here as it was all that time ago, so whatever they were doing right they are still doing now. Luv a Coffee uses beans from Di Bella. This one is one of those between-type of brands, while it does have a good amount of flavour and depth in a cup, it is still not among the stand-outs. When done in capable hands, the coffee is absolutely brilliant. Well, the double shot cappuccino that I had here certainly proved the case. That extra shot really worked, as it made the flavour more robust, and the entire texture of the coffee was really lithe.

Could I resist getting a sweet on the side? Of course not! It was a key lime tart that was chosen. This was delicious, with a distinct limey flavour and soft, creamy center. It was encased by buttery pastry. The serving was also reasonable, a good match with the size of the coffee (which came in a mug). On the side was a bit of whipped cream, and it all was good.

Luv a Coffee is simply one more addition to the growing array of great coffee places in Brisbane.

Had the pineapple and mint frappe. Very refreshing on a hot summer day!
