We used to frequent the restaurant when it was in Bulimba and we were so sadden to hear it go. We moved to the Graceville area recently and found the Ceylon Inn by accident to our delighted surprise. The food is still amazing, the staff excellent and the decor retained its great ambience. Our tastebuds are fulfilled again! 😋
HANDS DOWN the best Indian I have ever ever had !! Been twice now and loved it both times . Defiantly worth indulging in extra naan bread 😂
This place is amazing! I went here last night with my boyfriend and definitely recommend to others! The staff were so friendly and overly accommodating, the food was so delicious,"The best dahl I've ever had" a direct quote from my boyfriend. The restaurant is also beautiful I love the way it is decorated with beautiful lights, wall features and my boyfriend and I even sat in a swinging chair which was a fun experience in itself :) I felt like I was in such an authentic Sri Lankan restaurant! Will definitely be back again, thankyou to the staff for giving us such a great experience!
The friendly service here is the best I’ve experienced anywhere in Brisbane. Such a warm, kid friendly vibe when you walk through the doors. The rogan josh and beef korma were delicious as was the garlic, spinach and cheese naan. And then to top a fantastic evening off, a belly dancer got us up off our seats for a dance. The kids loved it! As always - thanks Ceylon Inn for another great night out!
As soon as we walked in, the staff were so friendly and happy which was nice. They checked up on us throughout the night and made sure we were having a good meal.
The curries we ordered were pretty good as well as the pakoras and overall was a nice Indian meal.
The decoration of the restoration is so lovely as well and would be an even better atmosphere when the place is busy!
This Indian restaurant has been around for 20 years or so in the same street. It has to be doing something right! You can always count on good food and good service. A safe option...if nothing else.
Good Indian here. Service is a bit up and down - had trainees before. Some of the tables are a bit awkward to sit around just saying - bit of an awkward distance between back rest & table. The food is what matters though & it is good here. Used to get the lamb kofta & pretty much all dishes are safe options. Nothing ground-breaking though to warrant a higher rating but I would recommend. Lots of the dishes have this iconic smokey flavour to them that I only seem to notice at this place which is nice
This is where we get out weekly takeout from. Delicious butterchikcen and garlic and cheese naan. We ate in last week and throughly enjoyed the coconut fish dish. The staff are always friendly and the decorations give the place an air of authenticity. If you're looking for consistently delicious Indian on the west side of Brisbane you cannot go past Ceylon Inn.
We had a lovely dinner here last night. Service a little slow but it was a busy Friday night and we managed to get a table without booking. I had an assorted mix of curries which is a nice idea if you don't like too much of one thing. Food was great quality and venue lovely too. Book the hanging chairs if there are two of you!
I've tried many Indian places in Brisbane, trying to find a stylish place reminiscent of the wonderful and sadly gone Scheherazade. Ceylon Inn is not that perfect place but its close enough. Breads are good. Curries ok for me. Good variety. Limited alcohol (hint: BYO), tea and coffee choices. Limited deserts. But a very reasonable local curry. Easy parking. Ambience. Recommend.
We ordered take away dinner from Ceylon Inn Graceville today. This is one of the best Indian Cuisine I have tried since I have been in Brisbane for last 2 year. We highly recommend this place to everyone. Thank you for great service.
The manager and all the staff members are exceptional, from the front-end and back-end.
I will make my return for the amazing food and chefs here to try some authentic curries!
Yum
