Impressed with an exceptional staff and service. Ordered 2 different chicken curries . They both were well made though overpowered with some spices. It’s just my preference of not having food colouring that seemed to be in those curries. The garlic naans were huge and perfectly cooked-one of the best we had. The restaurant needed a bit more theme of “gate of India” as it lacks decors.
I had one bad experience here and staff went above and beyond to rectify, the Karahi Paneer is one of the best vegetarian curries I’ve had. I’m not a fan of their cheese and garlic naan (I’m one of those western loving gooey cheese naan bread people) so order plain here.
Wow! It has been over two years since my visit here and we went for a Groupon dinner as the same as last time at the end of last month. Even though this time we were not served by the owner but the work team staff are all very polite and attentive.
Besides the dedicated mixed entrees to share, we selected the mains of Chicken Korma and Fish Curry to go with an upgrade Peshwari Naan (our favourite) and Basmati Rice. Of course, the mango lassi is the a-must order drink.
The entrée patter came to the table with mixture of Samosa, Pakora and Tandoori Chicken. Hero should be the chicken because they serve the thigh meat instead of the boring chicken breast. We order the mild spiciness for both mains, which are both spot-on to match with the rice and the naan. Overall portions on the mains are surprisingly big and so as the Mango Lassi.
It was an impressive dinner! Highly recommended! Cheers!

Had a Groupon dinner at this place for quite a while but forgot to write the review. Remember it was sometime last year and I had the same feeling as commented by Diana (review below) that I did not realise that it is so close to my house. Located at the prime position at the front entrance of Springwood Tower, it was so easy to find this restaurant. When we stepped in, we were friendly greeted by the staff and their attitude made me very comfortable to enjoy my dinner. The deal offered us mixed entrée for two, 2 x mains, naan and rice. I have to say that their food were all above average, particularly the Basmati rice looked so crystal clear that it was a perfect match with the Butter Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo. I have to say thank to the manager who allowed us to change the plain naan to Punjabi Naan (Spinach & Cheese) by just paying extra few dollars. The naan was so tasteful and also went perfect with the butter and vindaloo sauce. Overall, it was a decent dining experience.
Really enjoyed our entree and mains. Pleasantly surprised. Will go back again. Parking can be difficult when busy. Didn’t enjoy outside smoke wafting in from outside.
All in one i would like to say They are amazing 😍 ..
Best indian food I've ever had and their price are so affordable .
Please guys must visit once
Came here for dinner with the wife through a Groupon. Was pleasantly surprised by the service & food. Wonderful overall experience with the dishes being full of flavour and large servings. The gentleman that was looking after us was extremely polite ,bubbly & friendly. I really couldn't fault the experience I had here. Highly recommend that If you're looking for a restaurant to go to around Brisbane without venturing out into the city this is a fine way of going about it. Thanks for a lovely meal.
So desperate felt like Indian tonight and really didn't want to go out. I jumped on menu log and decided to give Gateway of India a go. I'm so glad I did. We had a few dishes to share and we all agree absolutely authentic and flavoursome food. The lamb vindaloo (although I would have preferred it hotter) was full of flavour and the lamb just melted in your mouth. The chicken saagwala oh my was sooo yummy, the lamb madras wow and the beef Roganjosh was good too (not my favourite but others in the family loved it).
So happy we have found our new Indian restaurant. I was so impressed I called the manager to let him know how good it was (I have never done this before)
My partner and I had dinner at Gateway of India last night. We didn't make a reservation but the restaurant wasn't overly busy, so we got a table straight away. All the food on the menu is very well priced and not on the expensive side. We ordered meat samosas, Shish kebab, beef Korma curry and a garlic and cheese naan bread to share. The samosas and Shish kebab were delightful! So much flavour packed into those entrees, the Korma on the other hand wasn't the best I've had- the sauce had flavour but it was missing something and the nan bread was tasted to an inch of its life. All in all the meal cost $42 so we can't complain, we would come again to try a few other meals.
Found this place through Groupon. Very pleased that I did.
Not only were the staff very friendly and helpful the decor was nice and the service prompt.
As for the food, well no complaints here what so ever.
Mixed entree (pictured) was fresh and full of flavour. The perfect entree for two people to share.
The mains also delicious with a very nice touch having the curry kept hot by way of a tea light candle burning underneath.
I have to say the chicken madras was delicious nice flavours without smacking you in the face with heat much to my delight.
The rice was okay and the naan bread fresh and fluffy.
Definitely will be back time and again.
Excellent Indian food. Best we have ever had in Brisbane. Plenty of tender lean meat in lovely sauces. We went on a scoopon voucher. Staff were friendly caring and courteous. We will return for sure.
