Very family friendly. Excellent food and staff. We have two kids pizzas, and shared a full size between two. Great to watch the pizzas being made. Love this place, just perfecto!
I think this is the best Pizza on the Northside of Brisbane.
It’s not laden with a million toppings so the dough really has flavour.
It’s not cheap but it’s absolutely worth every cent, Support this local business so real Pizza will always be in the suburbs.
Great quality traditional Italian pizza and the staff were friendly. Would definitely go back again as it is hard to find good quality traditional pizza
This unassuming suburban restaurant does Italian food well. Really well. Everything we ordered continued to improve upon the dish before it - in the best way. We had calamari, pizzas and desserts (lemon tiramisu and bombolone) and would recommend others try it too.
Great pizza, great service and a good atmosphere! A great local pizzeria with an incredible dessert menu. Would highly recommend the pizza fritter - it’s life changing. We will be back!
I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while and decided to give it a go as I was craving pizza. We ordered the mozzarella fritta, Rústica & Salame pizza. The mozzarella fritta was cooked and crumbled very well but the sauce lacked seasoning and a good dose of salt. The pizza bases, just perfect. So much flavour in the base.
The pizza toppings needed to be cooked just for a bit longer. The cheese and salami undercooked, but as mentioned, it needed just a few more minutes in the oven. Also, the size was very small for the prize. I could get a big Julius pizza for same prize and way bigger size. What a shame. I’m not sure if I will return 🙁
We dined here early on a Saturday night. While we probably didn't need to book, ot looked like staff were setting up lots of reserved tables as it seems like a very popular place so best book just in case. Speaking of which, their online booking system was simple and easy to use - loved it! But back to the food. We started with the crumbed mozzarella sticks in a tomato sauce. Utterly delicious in every way. Gooey, cheesy on the inside and crunchy and golden in the outside. The tomato sauce was a really wonderful and authentic sauce too.
We shared the vegetarian pizza between two and when it came out I thought I'd be hungry afterwards but I wasn't - it really was the perfect size. The bases are excellent - crisp and crunchy with the woodfired taste, delicious! All the toppings were wonderful and it made for a really delicious pizza. We also had the unlimited sparkling water - always a nice treat to have sparkling water that doesn't cost the same as a bottle of wine so I was very happy!
The staff were friendly and helpful. Around when you needed and not too in your face. This place is on the Entertainment Card which makes it even better. A real local gem with authentic, excellent pizzas, we will definitely be back.
I loved the pizza, best pizza I've ever had and the service was good. We were silly though and got foccacia to share amongst the table and then also got a pizza each. We were all stuffed. If I was to go again I'd only get the foccacia ande share the pizzas. The good thing about that though was we still got to enjoy the pizzas again the next day as we took what we couldn't eat as takeaway.
Was a little hesitant when friends invited us along here - mainly due to it being a suburban restaurant. Pleasantly surprised with the antipasti platter - it was amazing. Seriously. Instantly changed my mind when that came along so it was unfortunate when it came to the pizzas. They weren't really cooked properly in the case that the middle was watery (possibly because of the buffalo mozzarella?) but it meant that the toppings slid off when you tried to eat it. Because of the platter though I would give this restaurant another go to see if it was just a bad night in the kitchen. Will update when I do!
This place was recommended by a friend. A nice small pizzeria for casual dining. Had the vegetable pizza. Nice authentic pizzas but not exceptional. Middle was not crisp which spoilt it a bit. Lemon tiramisu was divine. Coffee terrible...half cold, not quality beans..avoid. Service was exceptional and friendly.
Best Italian in Brissy - personal opinion. I've nearly eaten this entire thing by myself it was so good. Love everything about this little hole in the wall, always smiles and beautiful food.
Great little local restuarant. Service was lovely and food was nom nom nom. We sat outside and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. You can join the birthday club and receive a free bottle of wine when dining in! We had the fried olives what a treat! Calamari fritte and wood fired pizza all recommended! I heard the espresso martinis were the best ones ever and thats from an expert! Haha
Some highs and some lows. I had the lasagna as I was intrigued to see what was meant by 1000 layers. It was indeed the most layers I'd ever had in a lasagna and I'm always a fan of lots of layers. A rich sugo was poured around the serving, while the layers themselves were quite thin with sauce. On the night, I found it tender and subtle in flavour. We had some leftovers -- one of my dining companions also had the lasagna, and didn't enjoy it, saying it was flavourless. So the next night I ate the leftover lasagna, and believe it was more flavourful than the first night. So the verdict from me is that I enjoyed it, as I don't mind subtle flavours and interesting approaches. The verdict from the other person was a definite no, as she is used to a meaty, cheesy lasagna. Others in our party had pizza, and again reactions were varied. My sense is that this restaurant is almost an exploration since it's not what you might be used to, and it may or may not work for you (see other reviews!) I had a small taste of the mushroom pizza and thought the balance of mushroom vs. truffle and blue cheese was not right, and they could have been more subtle with the strongly flavoured elements.
Came here for dinner with family. I personally enjoyed the experience but others were disappointed.
I’ve also noticed that a few bad reviews call the pizza soggy - fresh out of the oven it was delicious and crispy on the bottom. I think the issue is the steam getting to the bottom when it’s sitting on a flat surface?
I think I would probably serve the pizzas on an elevated surface with holes so the steam doesn’t make it seem doughy.
Lovely pizza from a small resturant. The menu mainly consist of small share plates and pizza plus some desserts and kids pizzas. There is only 1 pasta dish and a limited wine selection (especially if you buy by the glass). The pizza was realy tasty and there was a good choice of toppings to pick from.
Outdoor seeying is undercover and casual yet a bit romantic with all the fairy lights and greenery. Would certainly go again.
Have been here a few times and always had a great experience. The pizza dough is fresh and delicious, service is great and the NuStella dessert pizza is incredibly good. Highly recommend a visit
