My wife and I went to the Brass Barrel for brunch over the weekend and we were very please with the service and the quality of the food. I recommend the barrel benedict with house made hollandaise. Our coffee were also delicious.
We visit for coffee after a fishy Japanese lunch. The Manager is so warm and friendly, I am pleasantly surprised. Our large Cafe Latte served in minutes is strong and flavoursome. A very good coffee! We will return for a meal and update this review.
Great service. Really lovely actually. Without asking she just got us water and served us straight away. We got a mojito and orange eagle. Made beautifully and again served really well. Just found it to be a very pleasant experience.
Had breakfast at this cafe. It’s a nice place, a bit noisy though. I don’t know why these days cafes and restaurants think playing loud music is to everybody’s taste. It’s not easy to find a relaxing place without any noise.
Coffee was GREAT. Great job barista. Service was also good. We had modified Barrel Benedict which was nice and rich but a bit expensive ($22) for toasted sourdough, two poached eggs, spinach and cheese. It was very tasty. Not so many vegetarian options available but they are happy to make things vegetarian.
Overall, it was worth the try.
The brass barrel makes the best coffee in Rosalie and the best service!! They're always very accommodating for vegetarians too! The brass barrel is my go to!
Been coming here for 4 years now due to impeccable service, great coffee, and classy live music. The chalkboard food specials are insanely good.
Discovered its opening for trade on Sunday on my brekkie time at the Salt Food Wine Coffee just across the road. Walked in 7:00am this morning, there were already two tables occupied. Approached the bar and was greeted by the friendly staff. Placed the order of coffee and a Bacon & Egg Roll. Decided to take seat inside so I could enjoy the quiet moment while I was having my brekkie. Flat white was the first on the table, visual and olfactory judgment scored very high mark and the first sip proved to be right. Nice pouring technique with right proportion of strength. Did not notice what kind of brew was served but it was on the top of my list in the future. Next came the roll that remember the episode that I had the similar roll at the Artie & Mai of Albion last Father's day, however, the roll that that they served even better. Colour of the roll was darker but doesn't mean it was hard and overcooked. It was soft like a steamed bun. Sandwiched with the fried egg and golden brown bacon in addition to the BBQ sauce. The combination deserved my thumb-UP! I could not find any fault here, so as the same as the other foodies' comments and reviews. It scores the full marks from me.
Went to the Brass Barrel for breakfast and dinner. Both experiences were fantastic. I was really surprised by the quality of service and friendly staff. Best brekky around, hash browns are to die for! Great service, fairly priced delicious coffee and overall great atmosphere!
Been in for a few dinners, always had an excellent time. One of my favourite English Gastropub venues in Brisbane. Great service, excellent food, really good vibe. Will be bringing friends back for dinner again soon!
Long time Brass Barrel customer and cant commend them enough, while the menu has recently changed (I'll get to that in a bit), the service is, and always has been, first class! The atmosphere is nice and relaxed with a good mix of inside and outside dining, or you can watch the world go by in the window, my personal favourite. Now as I said they've recently changed their menu, a surprise when I returned on the weekend, but wow! Have not missed the mark again. I grazed on a Ploughman's Board over a few pints (they now have pints!!) while my mate similarly smashed the new pie on the menu. So if you're in the mood for a few beers on a sunny afternoon I'd recommend trekking to The Barrel, best get an Uber.
