Food is always great and the staff are friendly, coming here is always a nice break during the days with a relaxing atmosphere as well as the front desk always being so welcoming when you enter
I've eaten here a few times with friends & as a family & have always been happy with the food and the service. It's a club so my expectations are lower than normal but still it's pretty good. Clean amenities, updated club but the best of all is the KIDS CLUB. This is situated down stairs, you sign them in & out. You can leave them for FOUR HOURS (a maximum of four hours per day, with a mandatory 30 minute break after 2 hours) which is actually a bit of a worry but good if your out for a long lunch or dinner. Kids eat FREE Fri 530-630pm & Sat 5-6pm. Really why wouldn't you go check it out?

Forget everything you think you know if you have been to this club before.... this club hasn't had a makeover it's literally hat a total rebuild. Nothing is the same, nothing.
At time of writing the outside landscaping still has lots of work to be done and resembles a building site but once you step inside everything is nice, really nice. This place now resembles a modern 5 star hotel rather than a sports club, it's a class above any other sports club and sets a new standard.
Today we had lunch at the restaurant. Just how do they do full table service with a a great menu and do it for $8.90? The service is great, the food is up to realistic expectations and the atmosphere is excellent. You can't even get fast food for that price!
You also have your regulation gaming room, huge, cafe with sumptuous seating, and a brand new sports bar. This bar has a massive screen to watch the big games on and is huge., it's 13m wide. Here I actually have a concern, I think once the word gets out on how good this bar is I think it may need to be triple the size. I think it could do with a big clear floor area to allow crowds stand and cheer the big games, could be a bit crowded I'm thinking. Saying that it's a high class bar that may be just a bit too nice for the Friday arvo tradies, time will tell.

Ordered med-well 300g rump steak... Looked small for 300g and was slightly over well done. Garlic prawns were perfect tho. Price all up for food 27.80 + 11.50 for a 330ml jack D & Dry. Members get 5% off drinks so still bit high for my liking.
Very good quality meals. Good food & atmosphere. you can enter as a 'guest/visitor' but if you sign up to be a member (cost: $3) you then get a minimum 5% off at the restaurant, so probably worth doing.
decor/etc really good. nice tables/chairs/menus/etc. quite well priced for the quality of meal received.
I ordered the pork belly - $25 which came with roasted beetroot, carrots, broccolini, potato etc. very good quality and top presentation. was a little dry as there was no sauce on it which was a shame. It really needs a honey glaze sauce or something.
Wife ordered a chicken breast oven roasted with vegies, $24. had a nice gravy sauce but again not enough sauce so was a bit dry. apart from that these meals were really nice. The chips with aioli were delish (big bowl as a side was quite cheap too).
Overall a very pleasant experience and we will return.
Our dining experience at the Lion Richlands has always been good. The foods are good. However, we felt like we rushed to finish our meal and out of the table last time we dine there a couple night ago. Will provide details feedback to the catering manager as we have been asked to provide feedback via email. Saying this, we will come back again 😊
Very good value Classic Lunches. The Spaghetti Bolognaise was tasty, and the 2 beef schnitzels were good (a little bit of grissle though, and possibly too thick to be a true schnitzel). Large helpings too. Unfortunately the chips were cold. They were replaced with hot chips when I mentioned this to the waitress. Reasonable service in spite of the huge restaurant being nearly full. We will be be back!

Excellent club. I eat there three to five times a week. $10.90 lunches between 11.30am and 2.30pm every day. The menu offers great variety and the quality of the meals is consistent.

Excellent sports club and restaurant. We come here often for trivia on Tuesday nights come early as the sports bar gets packed by 7PM.
The restaurant is lovely too, book in advance as it gets quite packed especially at peak times like Friday dinner. Loved the Cajun chicken dish.
Love this place! You can't go past the Lion for good quality meals that are of consistently high quality. The service is always great and it has a lovely modern atmosphere. No matter what I've ordered I've never been disappointed.
The whole place looked awesome, their staff showed excellent customer service and the food was soooooo freakin good! ! topping it all up with the affordability of it all is just amazing
