Sometimes when I look at the Story Bridge Hotel standing underneath the Story Bridge just like a huge monster. Indeed, it is so big and provides locals with varieties of food and drinks outlets to cover up demands from the early morning to late night. Had a pre-dinner drink in its pub. And love the atmosphere there. Enjoy and catch every pleasant moment inside this monster' body. Would you like to join the club?

What service, visited with my family, we were greeted as we entered the restaurant and seated promptly by very friendly and helpful staff. Our needs were seen to but the staff were not over the top. No one likes wait staff to be all over them, unless your a pompous arse. Rarely have I experienced service to this level especially at a pub.
Great range of food on the menu. Food was delicious, well presented and brought to our table hot.
If you haven't tried it you must, and if you've had a bad experience there I highly recommend you give it a second chance.
Will be returning for meal on our next visit to Brisy.
Why not catch the free ferry from QPAC for a little sightseeing as well

Good pub food. Always delivers solid pub food to a high standard. Oysters Kirkpatrick are up there with the best in Brisbane.
Am yet to have a bad meal after a dozen or so visits.
Decent Brekkie. Just made it in time for some brekkie after kayaking on the Brisbane River at Riverlife.
Breakfasts were good, although I thought the portion size on the walnut & fig loaf could have been a little larger for the money.
Good!. The lunch time menu tastes good. Always consistant with their food. I havent had a problem so far. The venue is very casual and lovely to sit outside.
Decent pubb grub. Good food, a bit overpriced. I think they are trying to be too fancy. Just cook good food and stop worrying about crazy fusion ideas.
Great pub grub!. Australia isn't known for good pub grub like England is. This place bucks the trend! The food here is restaurant quality and I love the trendy setting. It is a great place to go with a group of friends and it is pleasing to see a place that probably makes most if its money from alcohol sales but still cares about the quality of the meals being served up. I had the fish of the day which was a good serving size, cooked well and presented well. The service was also excellent. It can get noisy in here but it is a pub. I'd highly recommend it.
Victory from the jaws of defeat. My first could well have been my last.
I waited for over an hour and no sign of my starter! good thing the beer was cold and the company hot. After seeing every table in the restaurant served and our table still hungry, I gave up and went to settle my account. Our meals were on the bill and I told the server that I would pay for my drinks but not the meals as they had not arrived. The manager apologised and understood our frustration. He removed the food cost from the bill but insisted that he box up the food and we could take it home.
Reluctantly I agreed. What a surprise, our salad and beef dishes where fabulous. I was very impressed with the customer service skills of the manager, and have been back many times. Be warned it gets crazy busy and things can go wrong, but they live by the rule "look after customer service and be rewarded with return customers".
One of the best steaks in Brisbane!! 300g eye fillet was very tender and melt in your mouth. Highly recommend!
All of our meals arrived at our table together and were all hot. Very generous with their serving sizes and all food tasted amazing. Nice, casual and welcoming atmosphere. Thanks for the lovely lunch!
This is a gem of a place! Having moved to Brisbane from Sydney in 2017 I was worried that the choice of nice bars here in Brisbane would be limited. I have been proven wrong!
Every time we have visitors from interstate I drag them here. I love the decor, I love the food, I love the wine.
One our first visit here in September 2017 we ate the following:
Salt and Pepper Squid (seriously tender. The best I've ever had)
Steamed pork and prawn dumplings (melted in the mouth)
Homemade chicken liver pate (oh yum yum)
This place is so worth a visit.
My last visit here was in December 2017 with a friend. We were doing a walk so didn't stay long, but long enough to have their buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad. Very refreshing salad!
Great food,and location,plenty of gluten free options and reasonably priced. Highly recommended
Meal was the usual hotel menu. I enjoyed my meal. Had coffee but they do not offer anything to have with it. Had to ask for table to be wiped down but only half was cleaned. Disappointing given current COVID issues.
Had an issue with one dish that was poorly cooked. To their credit the staff were all over it and refunded its cost. Good to see management on their feet doing a great job.
