Great selection of beers and food too! Some interesting specialty beers and an extensive menu for a brewery. Nice inviting venue and great atmosphere.
In a medium-sized venue dominated with navy blue walls and brewer tanks, Soapbox Beer can be easily found. Street parking can also be easily found nearby, thus easily accessible. Came here on Saturday evening, the place was rather empty but the service was great.
Ordered the tasting plate as they served various beer on taps. Overall, most of the drinks were great. The place also provided some board games, so friends could come and play. Otherwise, the music was rather soft, thus a great place for catching up with friends or to have drinks on your own.
Would come back here in the future!
My mate lives nearby and we decided to check this place out. Great vibe! The Smoked Duck was awesome! It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the night with mates.
Great new place in Fortitude Valley! The place offers a wide selection of craft beers. You can have a tour of the brewery too! The food is excellent! Not your typical pub food. There’s a wide selection of shared plates and main meals for everyone.
I’m not usually one for beer, but when you create some unique food using it I am more than willing to try it out.Just off the main road in Fortitude Valley, it has a nice relaxed environment to catch with mates over beers or a nice dinner for two.Let go!. Of course there must be beer lol.They create a great range of beers that are brewed in small batches by hand to achieve great quality beer,My pick of the bunch would have to be their brekky beer. A light beer, with coffee aroma and taste… it was magical.
Living in the area it’s often you see new places opening up, in saying that, Soapbox by far, has been the most refreshing. Walking in we were greeted by friendly staff and an excellent selection of beers. The staff were very knowledgeable and happy to share their expertise along with a few tasters. As a beer convert (previously and occasionally still a wine drinker), I can honestly say there wasn’t a beer on tap I didn’t like. Then there was the food, no disappointments here! It was fast, delicious and very well priced for the portions. they have a small function area, decent tables and most definitely don’t have the dingy bar smell many of The Valley venues have. We’re looking forward to coming back for another few rounds.
What a place! Open plan with amazing interior including repurposed wood and concrete, take a look around and take it all in! The lights too! But first grab a beer, or a paddle to sample and something off of the extensive tasty menu! We tried the potato croquettes and the chicken wings..both incorporate beer into them! And flavour bombs! The beer is sensational (try the biscuit ale) and the owners and staff make you feel very welcome in their home. The toilets have thought put into them too and aren’t just sterile receptacles!
