Waking at ridiculous o'clock to hit the gym on a weekend takes some encouragement. Found mine in the form of a smooth double shot mocha from the friendly team at U&I. May or may not have also snuck a glorious ham & cheese croissant. Shhhhh don't tell those serious fit chicks I train with...

Every time I come to Brisbane I always make sure to stop in for what is some of the best coffee in town. Has never let me down and the friendly staff complete the experience
Very nice coffee, well presented little cafe and courteous staff. I'd be nice to have organic milk and perhaps organic coffee on offer, but otherwise it's your best bet for a decent latte in Ashgrove.
Tasty and strong coffee. Cute botique cafe with nice staff. Always enjoy going here for breakfast.... Reasonable prices and good atmosphere.
After walking past it everyday for probably two years we decided that it was high time to go to U & I Espresso for a late brunch. When we arrived at 11.45 on a Sunday, it was still buzzing with plenty of people finishing off their coffees with dogs happily sitting out front. It was busy for good reason! U & I Espresso has an interesting take on the classic brunch menu with each dish having exciting new elements such as the smashed avocado on sourdough with macadamia and bush spices.
May just be the best coffee in Brisbane and toasted sandwiches are absolutely delicious...love this place. Easy parking, friendly staff and relaxed vibe.
Quaint little breakfast place with a 60s/70s decor. It's nice that in the suburbs you can find little cafes like this on a Sunday morning and chill out and eat a breakfast that is nice. With places like this, it's more the atmosphere and enjoying the time you are out of Ye house. Saying that, my chia seed banana milkshake was top notch.
Diana. Called in for breakfast. Loved the avo with dukkah, partner had the spiced beans which I sampled-very good although maybe a bit more spice for my taste! Coffee nicely poured with a perfect crema could have had just a tad more strength for my taste, but on saying beautiful flavored brew no question

For price, quality and service you will get maximum value at U&I Espresso Cafe. The meals were delicious and filling with excellent portions for pricing.
The add-ons are too expensive in my view, but the menu items are enough that they dont require add-ons to be delicious and satiating.
The staff were personable, they are dog friendly, and they do provide some outdoor seating. The coffee is delicious with a variety of specialty options to suit any coffee lover.
Personally, I measure the value of a big breakfast by the amount of animal products and the quality of the bread. In both cases, U&I provide the goods.
Also pictured is the Avocado Macadamia, which my partner thoroughly enjoyed.
We will be returning in the future, without hesitation.

Great suburban coffee, knocking out well executed coffee and a basic menu. Opted for a long black to wash down a Reuben - could fault neither.
Really cute little cafe in Ashgrove. Friendly staff and awesome service. Not to mention the food is amazing and coffee on point.
My local coffee bar. Love the staff’s friendliness. They can make a great coffee and the breakfast food is delicious and quirky. The decor is refreshing and artistic.
At times the temperature in the cafe is uncomfortably hot and the location is noisy (not at fault to cafe staff - more so Waterworks road!).
Definitely give this little gem a whirl!
Immediately after walking in the staff made me feel welcome and like I had made new friends. Wasn't just me ether every customer that walked in was also instantly apart of the friendly culture. Coffee tasted great and the "full Monty" meal was presented perfectly and tasted amazing. I will be returning here definitely!
