Jamie’s is a little tucked away cafe in the heart of Jame Street. Super chilled atmosphere and friendly staff. Coffee is delicious and so it’s the food and drinks. If you’re not into fancy, that’s the place for you!
Nice large long black, a little hot but once cooled it was "good". One dimensional and a little rough around the edges but still better than some offerings around Brisbane. Stopped because it was on the way, if I have the time tomorrow will probably pass by for somewhere else. But ... would I come back, yes.
I had some work in the area and found Jaime's espresso to be very conveniently located. Beautiful breeze through the cafe, the guy working in their was fast and friendly, and the coffee was great. Good place to work from if you want to get out of the studio or office. Great music too.
I met up with a friend here for coffee. It took a little while to come out but I loved my chai latte. We ordered avo on toast and we were brought pressed Turkish bread and some avo for us to spread ourselves w some lemon. I actually didn't mind this - my avo toast tasted awesome with salt, pepper and some EVO!
Jamie's is a nice cute place to go for a good coffee on James street. It's not as expensive as the other James street cafes, and it has a really nice feel to it. Reasonably priced food and good coffee won me over
Amazing coffee. I love the.... Amazing coffee.
I love the whole breakfast idea with the individual servings on the sandwich paper.
Great place to chill for a wine on a Friday night.
A must cafe/bar to visit. Minimal cafe/bar that meets your needs. Friendly happy staff, great coffee. Will not be disappointed. Prices are well priced.
AWESOME. OMG! this cafe is awesome. Great Staff, Awesome Service. Just love this Espresso Bar soooo much i might as well just call it home LOL! This is a must go Espresso Bar :)
Diana. Di Bella coffee which is always good & at Jamie's was no exception. Only pick is a minor one & that is the flat white had a bit of a head on it other than that full flavoured well extracted coffee
This place is amazing, excellent coffee; the owner and staff are friendly and the snacks are delicious. A perfect place too start your day.
Following a recommendation from a friend we had Sunday lunch here for an anniversary. Love the decor, the colour palette and the seating. Really provided a wonderful atmosphere. The service we received was outstanding. The food was wonderful. Their cocktails are amazing. Overall this restaurant is on the pricey side but still quite reasonable, especially when its for a special occasion. Will be recommending this restaurant to others. Can't wait to come back.
Exceptional dining experience with a very high standard of food and service, plus a great vibe to the restaurant.
We had the Here & Now tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the Bug Rolls, Trout Roe Tart & Meat Pie Croquettes
The main of Dry Aged Optimal Beef was well cooked and a quality piece of meat, lots of taste but was missing something, we'd skip that one next time and the sweets were just too sweet for our palate
But the cocktails are as a must, had the Black & Silver Old Fashioned, great mix and definitely a winner for me.
Look forward to heading back for a menu options
The Lodge is the Rodd and Gun restaurant in James St. Had wonderful beer battered oysters (if you don't like raw oysters give this a go), followed by Aylesbury duck breast, grilled Fraser Is Red Emperor and duck fat potatoes. We decadently followed it up with a to die for Chocolate Nemesis dessert. Food and service was impeccable!
Had an absolutely phenomenal meal here! Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Australia! The pork terrine starter was amazing and the dry aged NY steak was perfect! The sides were good enough to be a meal on their own and if you have space definitely try the deconstructed carrot cake! Service was on point, attentive but not too pushy and the drinks and wine selection is out of this world. I highly recommend.
Got dragged here with some of my wifes friends. Thought it was going to be to fancy. Look prices for drinks were high but the food was amazing. Really really good service was excellent. I dont recommend to many places but you should try them out.
I found the ease of a booking a table for my guests the beginning of a great night. Greeted at the door and ushered to our table. We were quickly talked through and discussed the menu by the attentive staff. The decision of choosing the right wine to marry with each guests meal was enabled by the staff as well. The service was great, the meal timely and delicious. I would definitely go again.
We dined on Saturday night, what an experience! Online press write-ups had us eagerly anticipating, the place was bustling when we arrived. We arrived early, deliberately to chat over cocktails at the bar, the staff and their creations did not disappoint. Once seated, we began a divine food experience, the Michelin pedigree was obvious. The fitout is incredible, the staff professional and not overwhelmed despite the newness and the business, and not too noisy! We will be back
Highly recommend! We had a lovely dinner on Saturday 16 July at The Lodge. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the decor was modern and cozy. Our waiter had an impressive knowledge of the wine menu.
We enjoyed entrees, mains and sides but decided to skip dessert. The chocolate nemesis sounded good but for the raisin and boozey icecream that came with it.
