Consistency is key here. Food is cheap, good portions, cooked and presented well. Coffee is a 7/10, pending barista. (And the odd puppy dog to brighten your day)
I usually go for the cheap options of KK (bacon egg hashbrown burger) or TriColour (bacon cheese hashbrown crossoint).
Ample seating makes that 9am Saturday decision an easy one. Cafe 63 is hardly ever at full capacity. Parking can be a pain, however up top of Edgar street or down a side street usually does the trick.
Love the fact that these cafes have dog friendly areas. This particular one is situated in a former garage so that's also a bonus for parking as well. Complimentary fresh chillies, water & tiny Easter eggs (at Easter) not to mention the consistently good coffee also add to the impact of this great chain of simple cafes. My order was the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon & fresh mixed veg on the side. Huge servings & partner enjoyed liver with bacon
Had brekkie at its sibling in Moorooka and left with very good impression, therefore I don't mind to explore this South Brisbane outlet. I love the ample parking facility there and also huge area of dining area. As usual, there are sufficient number of staff looking after every diners, which is deserved thumb up. Ordered my Di Bella flat white and I/2 serve of scramble egg with smoke salmon and toast (I love this café because I can order 1/2 serving which is just perfect for my appetite in the morning). Nothing let me down and the quality and quantity are consistent. Coffee was strong enough, scramble egg with smoked salmon was just perfectly seasoned. The only discrepancy is that I was overcharged for the full size of my savoury dish and I had to explain to the cashier and one of the smart waitress then they discovered the error. Well, it must be too early in the morning ....
