We have been going to Raja for years and the curried are always fantastic. Lamb Rogan Josh is delicious as is the chicken tikka masala. Great friendly service too.
There are and have been quite a few indian places around the centenary area over the years but none have been as good as Raja. Lovely people and great food, my favorite Vindaloo in Brisbane. Definitely recommend.
Very tasty Indian! Butter chicken, beef korma, and the papadums were our choice for take-away and we weren't disappointed. The sauces aren't excessively oily and taste how a traditional Indian curry should. Nice work guys!
I went for the first time and got takeaway a vindaloo beef which came with free rice and a garlic naan. Sensational. The curry was full of flavour, the meat and potatoes were well cooked in sauce and spices, the rice was moist, and the naan had just enough smokiness and some crusty bits while rest were perfectly soft n chewy. Ive had some great and very bad indian in my time. This is definitely a great place.
Wonderful curries ! Tonight I had takeaway of lamb rogan josh and Aloo Mutter Masala - awesome. The curries were on time in the quoted 20 minutes
I have lived and worked in Asia, spent time in India and Sri Lanka and I have been eating at Raja's for over 10 years now, both dine in and take away. This is as good as it gets. I have never had a bad meal and I have tried everything on the menu. If you want authentic curries, take it as it comes. Don't try and Australianize the menu.

We dine in for family nights when we can, and get take away regularly -- Recent take away was top notch - beef vindaloo, lamb rogan josh and "aloo mutter masala " vege dish were excellent

Good food for a good price. The food here is always good, and cheaper than other Indian restaurants. I've not eaten in, but the takeaway is fast and tasty.
Much more meat than sauce compared to other Indian restaurants.
Great food. I've been going here for over 7 years (since way back when they had a restaurant near the Jindalee pool) around 2x per month. Curries are great, and their Naan is some of the best I've tasted. The only time it was different (and very bad) was when Raja got some other family to caretake during holidays.
Unbelievable. The food here is incredible. Each dish is made with passion and is truly authentic. The butter chicken, naan, and the lamb curries were all exceptional and amazing. My kids loved it. Probably one of the best traditional restaurants in Brisbane. I would definitely recommend people to come whether if it’s to dine in or takeaway. It is truly worth it!
Great food, good value. Had the mixed tandoori and peshwari naan which was good along with lamb and beef curries. Small but friendly quick service.
Excellent and authentic Indian food with true flavours. I've been to a few and omg this is the best. The butter chicken especially is true to its flavours compared to many restaurants I've been to in the western suburbs and not too sweet like other restaurants. You won't be disappointed in flavours! This is my go to Indian restaurant everytime. People who complained about the butter chicken obviously don't know their flavours because they prefer the sickly sweet butter chicken from other restaurants. Not for me, Rajah is the best!
Really enjoyed our time here. Family run restaurant. The food is all made at the restaurant. Very fresh ingredients. Beef Vindaloo, Lamb Biryani, vegetable Madras, naan bread, Mango lassi, rice. It tasted beautiful. Spices, herbs and meats all melded into tantalising flavours. It's BYO. I believe currently looking for staff.

When we visited, it was just after the rain... outside was in perfect stillness with the sound of the birds.
Inside the shop was warm and comfortable, smelling the delicious foods and we could see the beautiful chefs in the back as they cooked.
Such kindness, and quick service...
Food was awesome ! Not too spicy, but fulfilling and nourishing ...
We took home the leftovers to our housemates and they were very happy 😁
