Il Castello Pizzeria is located in the set of shop's on the corner of Hellawell and Jackson Road, Sunnybank Hills. I finally had the opportunity to try it out recently and I was not disappointed.
The menu is huge and pretty well priced. Plus it is a cafe as well in the mornings.
I ordered the vegetarian large with vegan cheese instead of the regular dairy cheese and was delicious. The toppings were fresh and tasty and was cooked to perfection and the service from friendly and prompt. Each table had pink Himalayan salt and pepper grinders to add if required. I had not had a pizza for ages and I was impressed.

Pizzas here at Castello's are DA BOMB!!! We finally found a pizzaeria that caters for the biggest eaters! Their Festa sized pizzas are super huge :) We love their friendly service there and we always go back because their pizzas are very tasty and fulfilling in sizes!
Have been coming back to this restaurant for years! The pizzas are incredible! They are not scarce with toppings at all and the flavours of their pizza base are one of the best out there! Highly recommend!
Loved their Veronica & Romana pasta. Their calzone bread and pizzas are great. My son & husband love the food here and they are very difficult to impress. Great family restaurant.
Recommended here from a mate who knows his good tucker. So glad he did!! This place is fantastic with great food, fresh and authentic! And the owner is the perfect host as well and will break into song at any given time. And doesn't have a bad voice either just quietly!! Give it go and you will return time after time, be warned though they have big servings!!
If you are looking for real authentic Italian pizzas, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed by the quality of the food here. They have a variety of pizzas to choose from and each one is just as tasty and mouth-watering. The pastas are good too but not as delectable as the pizzas. The only thing is the price being a little steep but on an occasional basis, that's not something I would complain about.
Great cafe for a well poured & flavorsome flat white. They use Simply Beans blend ( a local roastery which we have been going to for years at Logan) They certainly know how to do a great coffee & also a great pizza. Try the homemade apple pie too it is a work of art & you will be flat out finishing it (see pic)
Il Castello have enormous pizzas with many toppings to choose from. The pizzas aren't the best I've had but they are certainly worth getting if your having a party or large gathering.
If you want pizza with lot's of flavour and generous amounts of toppings - this is the place. Topped off with fantastic service from the owners and their staff, they will surely make you feel like family. If you haven't tried it, give the Mammoth pizza a go. It's around $80, which at first seems a bit much, however myself and 10 friends chipped in just under $10 each and we we barely even got through half!
Lets face it there is allot of Pizza places out there but most of the Pizzas that are served up are as tastily as the box they are transported in.
El Castello have a great selection of Pizza and whilst it may not be wood fired is absolutley delicious Pizza.
Fresh tasty toppings that deliver great flavour on a pizza base that is not too thick or too thin but just right.
We drive past a few Pizzas places to collect our Pizza and whilst the staff are generally pretty busy and you can see and hear the clatter and crash of a busy kitchen the staff are always polite and you understand this is a family run business that is working hard to deliver a good product.
Geez we have loved discovering this place! Great fresh pizza with that sense of authentic goodness! Huge too! We feed a family of 7 on pretty much 2 main pizzas and a garlic pizza! Have been happy to introduce friends and this is our go to movie night treat!!
Lovely local restaurant with friendly staff and tasty food. Pizza and pasta are fresh and the sauces are full of flavour. Loved the creamy pesto! So glad we tried them as we will keep them in mind next time we are craving Italian!
Good pizza and pasta
Located in a small shopping centre on the corner of Hellawell Road and Jackson Road in Sunnybank Hills, this family business is a breath of fresh air in an area that is dominated by Asian restaurants. The menu is extensive with something to suit everyone and we enjoyed the pizza, pasta and ribs that we ordered. The service was fast, the portions were generous, the prices super reasonable and the owners Ben and Kim are warm and friendly!
Finally found the true calzone pizza which is absolutely fantastic can't imagine anything else to be as good or better keep up your fantastic work the only thing I don't know is how traditional is this to a authentic calzone I guess the only way to find that out it to fly to italy✈ one criticism the person holding the menu has disgusting finger nails!! I hope he's not cooking as needs to wear gloves😮 hopefully it was a customer holding the menu
Very friendly staff and delicious pizzas. Just don't order a Margherita pizza if you're not happy eating a cheese pizza instead 😞. It was still delicious just not what I was hoping for, no fresh basil, no tomatoes, no mozzarella.. just cheese. This aside, I will be back to try again soon.
