Review Buncha Buncha - Brisbane

Very friendly staff at counter. She was happy to help me select a vegetarian option. The food was so good! I had the rice paper rolls and the peanut sauce was so good. My partner had the beef roll (banh mi). We also had the best homemade vegetable spring rolls.

The food is nice, but the customer service was terrible. The owner forced us to pay all together, but another staff there was happy with splitting the bill. And later the owner blamed me for letting the other staff to split the bill and tried to charge extra money for splitting the bill and explaining the staff was new. The owner lady here is simply too keen for money to lose her loyal customer.

Fabulous tasty and authentic. Cooked on charcoal for the proper smokey flavours. I'm going to drive from the Sunshine Coast just to eat here again. Highly recommended. Super friendly service with a smile and very cheap prices. Even serve Hanoi beer. Was so good!

Awful experience today. I came for lunch at 1:30pm, the restaurant was not too crowded. Ordered my food, but after 45 mins of waiting, nothing came. Asked the staff and she looked so confused when I ask about my order, saw her go back and check for my order and process to turn on the burner. I guess they absolutely forgot my order. Asked for refund, the other staff asked ‘How much did you pay’ (he didn’t even bother to look for the receipt), gave my money back with a poker face with no explanation or apology. I often come here for grilled pork vermicelli and lovely owner but now maybe not anymore.

I walk past this restaurant all the time and finally got to try it. The food was very slow to come out, we waited nearly 40 mins after ordering. The buncha was tasty with lovely charcoal and lemongrass flavor. The fried spring rolls were average, I might come back to try the banh mi

Honestly the worst Viet place I've been to. We Vietnamese take pride in our cooking, culture and hospitality - this place did no showcase any of these values. Initially when we were ordering, we explained that we were in a rush due to errands and the cashier did not advise us of how long it would take. It took close to an hour for the food to come out and by then we had to quickly finish our food and leave. When asked how much longer it would take 30 minutes in - she rudely asked if I have never been here before (implying that I probably don't know anything about Viet food). Not to mention, the tofu was soggy - which its not supposed to be. There was minimal vermicelli and barely any herbs to compliment the mains. We got two Bun Dau Mam Tom - which both traditionally has sliced pork and was advertised as such. They completely forgot to put pork on the dish. My family and I will not be back a second time.

Very authentic Vietnamese food. The team here definitely put in a lot of effort to make quality food and it really shows. Great bun cha, great pho and great bun dau mam tom. Also would highly recommend their mango avocado smoothie. Great pricing, very good value. Cash only venue. Parking can be a be tricky on weekends but conveniently located in stones corner. If you're dining in, leave time to lounge around because they do take a long time to serve the food. Takeaway is great and fast tho.

I ordered 1 bahn mi and 2 spring rolls. After 30 minutes they hand me the bahn mi and say I have to wait for the spring rolls. Another 10 minutes and it still wasn't done and everyone in the dining area had been served their food before my takeaway. Even when they sat down after I arrived. The server didn't communicate what was happening and didn't apologise. I'm never ever going back. How pathetic. They only had 3 tables as well. They weren't busy. NEVER EVER GO HERE

A restaurant with something different Vietnamese other than standard pho. Definitely worth the try!

I have been here numerous times, at first I was a little concerned by how low the pricing was compared to most restaurants that I am used to

The atmosphere is simple, but exactly what it needs to be, the service can be a little slow at times, but its worth the wait.

I frequently get the Vietnamese steak, which comes out sizzling, with a bread roll and a few extras, all great quality and filling for less than $20, the Bahn Mi is also great, I will continue coming back here

Horrible service, forgot orders and did not tell us they had no more flan cake! Always had to check up on them and ask about our food and did not receive our take away as they forgot

One of few places in Brisbane offers Northern Vietnamese food, specialised in Hanoi Style, small selected menu is authentic, fresh & no add MSG. A little bit wait, actually it worth. My children are fussy and they love lemongrass chicken & fried rice. Delicious Buncha blows me away. Highly recommended.

The service here is extremely late and unprofessional. The other table with >10 people got served before us even they came after us. We ordered 4 dishes and the staff served only 2 dishes and in half an hour, the other 2 were still not served. We had to check with them several times because two people had finished the meal while other two of us were still waiting for the food. The manager said because it was busy (of the big table booking) and one of the dishes took long time to prepare. It shouldn't be served partly like that and made an awkward meal with two people having food and others waiting for food for half an hour more. The food is not impressive at all.

Went here with the family for a midweek dinner.

We tried the 'Bun Cha', 'Bun Cha Chan' and 'Bo Ne'. The bun cha was well done - chargrilled pork, fresh lettuce and herbs, with a light and slightly sweet broth - reminiscent to the Bun Cha we have had in Hanoi. The bo ne was generous with meats, with an accompanying crunchy pickles, and light and crispy bread to mop up the delicious sauces and egg.

Friendly and efficient service. Reasonable prices. Casual ambience with open indoor and outdoor seating. Yes, there may be limited menu options but I believe that they have represented North Vietnamese food well, and the options available are less likely to be found anywhere else and I'm happy to try something Viet other than pho.

Overall, a lovely restaurant representing North Vietnamese cuisines.

Awesome food felt like I was back in Hanoi, wish the menu was more extensive so hopefully they will add more items, such as stirfry noodles, dishes with steamed rice not just vermicelli noodles etc highly recommend!

I got a change to try home country food from Northern Vietnam in Buncha. The flavour, taste exactly from northern cuisine, the Bun cha, Bo Ne made me feel like ate in Vietnam. Everything absolutely perfect from price, taste, service... Good place for try, people who visited Vietnam and want to find the flavour they miss. Will come back.

I got the chance to try the fried rice and the spring roll in Buncha Buncha. They gave hearty portions for each dish. The fried rice was good as the fried rice itself didn’t have strong flavour and you can each taste all the combination of what’s inside the the fried rice dish. They gave lots of big chunks of pork meat, prawns, and mushroom and they all meshed well together. Absolutely loved the spring roll! They were quite big in size, and full of fragrant pork meat! The spring rolls also didn’t taste floury at all and dipping them in the sweet sour sauce made them so delish! Btw, I also kinda mixed fried rice with the sauce and it tasted even better 🤣

Northern Vietnamese flavours
This new Vietnamese restaurant at Stones Corner specialises in Northern Vietnamese/ Hanoi food. It has a small but simple menu. We loved their take on the banh mi, the bun cha chan (grilled pork noodle soup) was full of favour and the spring rolls were amazing! It was very reasonably priced, the owner was super charming and friendly and there was no MSG!!
