Had a 50% off food bill deal dinner at this restaurant. Located at the previous Toro Bravo restaurant, there is no much difference in terms of lay-out. What the surprise should be the attitude of wait-staff and also the passions from the kitchen’s team member.
Ordered entrees of fried coconut tiger prawns and crab cakes while the mains are the pan-fried Black Cobia fillet and the char-grilled aged porterhouse steak. Both entrees really ‘song’ and deliver very rich seafood taste. First time to taste black cobia and I love its texture. Aged porterhouse was grilled to perfect med-rare and the chunky fries are the best that I ever had. The only discrepancy was no jus accompanied with the steak (maybe the chef forgot about it) otherwise a full mark review will be granted.

Had dinner at Hula Bar & Grill for the first time! Food was really Delicious and amazing. Well presented and they had a nice texture.
-> Starters - Fried coconut King Prawn with Mayo - Nice & crispy on the outside and Prawns were well cooked with Juicy texture inside (5/5)
-> Mains 1 - Huli Huli Chicken with Soy, Pineapple and Taro Mash - tasted fabulous with delicious flavours and the chicken was perfectly cooked with juicy texture (Soy, Pineapple & Taro worked really well together)
-> Mains 2 - Eye fillet with Almond and Macadamia (w/t Soy & Pineapple sauce), Fries & Steamed beans on the side. Eye fillet was Cooked perfect (Medium Rare) and it went really great with the dressing and Sauce. The fries were burnt and oily - so probably would choose regular fries over this one as they tried something new. (4/5)
Another reason for 4 star is, Tables and chairs were really dirty - definitely recommend you guys to work that out. But other than that, Would definitely visit this Restaurant again to try some new dishes!!!
Went here for mid-week dinner using Dimmi's 50% off food special. It was fairly quiet, apart from a couple of other diners and a small group enjoying the drinks bar.
We ordered drinks and several small plates to share, including:
- Spam Musubi: just as the dish's description; sticky teriyaki lacquered spam with nori and rice.
- Crab Cakes: lovely and crispy exterior. The papaya and black bean salsa is delicious.
- Baja Fish Tacos: a very generous serving of slaw and crispy battered fish.
- Cochinita Pork Tacos: another very generous serving of smoky shredded pork with salad greens.
Service was friendly and reasonably efficient, although there were times whereby our server did not which dish he brought out to us. Prices quite reasonable - although, we utilised the Dimmi special (drinks not included). Casual ambience with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
Overall, a fun casual eatery for catching up with friends.
