Thai cooking so exquisitely cooked that you can taste the attention to detail in every mouthful.
It starts with the golden pastry on the curry puffs, to the perfect combination of flavours in the fish cakes, through to the massaman beef with roti and smoky flavour of chicken cashew nut ... and the roast duck with lychee curry ... and it goes on.
My advice, order more than you can eat, because it tastes even better the next day.

Love this place so much - favourite thai restaurant to dine-in around New Farm. Love everything I have eaten here, but special shout out to the Choo Chee Barramundi Curry, the pad ke mao and the curry puffs are MIND BLOWING.

Went to the Mekong two weeks ago and was treated to wonderful service, relaxed atmosphere and magnificent cuisine.
I have not had Thai food as authentic and flavoursome as this since I was last in Thailand itself! The smokey rice, coconut and Lychee desert was to die for.
I can heartily recommend the Mekong as a gastronomic experience which is both authentic and delicious. Truly the taste of Thailand.
We’ve been several times to Mekong and it’s become an absolute favourite! Jo & Dion are simply beautiful people. So warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is incredible. Special mention to the karry puffs with turmeric mayo and the iced teas. The best Thai in Brisbane.

Mekhong Thai is the best! Delicious food, presented beautifully and really reasonably priced. The service is super lovely and friendly, the restaurant feels really warm and welcoming, and every time we’ve gone there we’ve had a beautiful time. Really lucky to have this gem as our local, couldn’t recommend it more!

Delicious food and friendly and efficient service. We had a wine tasting and dinner here last night. They were so accommodating and patient with our group. The food was excellent, not one dish could be faulted. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the food. I can highly recommend the red curry duck. The pork belly dish had beautiful cinnamon spice in the sauce, delicious! I really enjoyed the aubergine, it had a good amount of spice to it. I'll be back for sure.

We enjoyed Mekhong immensely when they had the New Farm branch and missed the great Thai food so badly that we city dwellers went to Wynnum to enjoy the new location. It was an absolute pleasure to dine at this restaurant - beautiful ambience - super tasty authentic Thai delicacies and wonderful service and management. They have ‘raised the bar’ even further at the Wynnum location. Highly recommended
Different Thai to your normal takeaway, I think it is from a different region, a more fine dining level … and it is so yummy! Fantastic options, love the barramundi dish. And yes I even tried the special silkworms dish, extremely tasty. Great service. It is a small restaurant but some of the best things come in small packages.
My husband and I had a delicious meal there last night. We both absolutely loved the scallops (starter). The young men serving us, Jasper and James, were delightful. We'll definitely be back!

Hands down the best Thai we’ve ever had. The massaman and even the fried rice was to die for! Deon is also amazing at helping his customers feel welcome and valued. Highly recommended and will be back for sure.
