Tasty, great service , they made is chilli naan that wasn't on the menu and it was the best naan ever.
Lovely rogan josh . Highly recommended
Amazing stuff. I moved to the neighbourhood 18 months ago and was nervous because the restaurant was so new. The food is beautiful. Really rich flavours and they have never stuffed up an order. The staff are always really pleasant.
It's a shame I live so close because the place is so nice inside I'd'd love to dine in some time.
One of Brisbane's Best Indian Restaurants. We were introduced to Hum Tum Indian because they had a Living Social voucher. I'm so glad I got two vouchers! It was excellent value - entrée, mains (with Rice and Naan) and desert for each person. The food was exquisite, the ambience was very nice and the service was good (although there a few times we had to try a bit harder to catch the waitress' attention).
I was very impressed by the fact that even though we were using vouchers, they served us each a shot glass of lassi and papadums (which was not part of the voucher deal, but I'm guessing this is what they do for regular guests).
If you go, you MUST try the rose lassi because it even has a hint of sandalwood (I have no idea how they do this). This has to be the best lassi although my children like the mango lassi better.
The other thing I really liked was they waitresses were empowered by managed to let us change our drinks from beer and wine to lassie (which you'd think is what everyone else who offers vouchers, but are a lot less flexible where soft drink is the only other option if we don't want beer or wine).
Finally the review of the food.... The food was exceptional. There was nothing that we had on both visits that we did not like. The naans were fantastic and it was nice that there was one per person.
There was a lot of tasty food and if the idea was to form a good impression, they did just that. We'll definitely be back and bringing guests/ visitors. I'm just so happy because I live about 10 mins away and I've found an Indian restaurant that I really like (both the food and how they do business).
The negative reviewers appear to be fake reviews and trying to reduce Hum Tum's Urbanspoon rating. They have only rated Hum Tum (and no other restaurant - I wonder which restaurant they work for) and their review of their experience is so completely opposite to everyone else's. I guess haters will be haters... but know this... cheaters never prosper.
