If you havent been to coffee square to try their sizzling Mongolian beef dish, you are missing out my frd. The flavours, texture of the beef and the presentation of the dish, its literally sizzling in front of you for a good 2-3 minutes. Portions are good and price is alright. Its quite busy though so expect a wait if you go in dinner times.

Used to visit this restaurant very often but had not been here for awhile due to the construction taking place at Market square (can’t find parking!)
This time we were lucky enough to find a parking space nearby so we decided to revisit this authentic Hong Kong style restaurant. And we are not disappointed! The food is still as yummy, average price on the menu is still reasonable (should regard them as cheap eats comparing to other ‘Hong Kong style restaurants’ in Brisbane area!) We ordered one of the most popular dishes ‘cheesy baked pork chop on fried rice rice in tomato sauce’ omg look at the cheese! Also ordered the ‘fried rice noodle rolls in XO sauce’ and this is also one of our favourite dishes! A little bit spicy yet it won’t cause you feel thirsty. Makes me think of the traditional dishes that I have had in Hong Kong! Their house drinks are not to be missed too! I love their ‘Hong Kong style milk-tea’! Must try!
Hopefully the construction at Market Square is finishing up soon and we will return more often for sure.
One of the best Hong Kong tea restaurants I could find in Brisbane. Although a little bit far away from the central area. Always busy serving a lot of customers but usually could get a table within 15 mins. Serves a wide range of food and covers all classic stuff you'll expect in a tea restaurant. Recommend Iced milk tea. Maybe a bit sweet but it is the exact taste. Staffs nice.

Been craving for authentic hongkong cantonese style foods and got recommend from my mom’s friend to come here.
Generous portion, authentic delicious cantonese food and fair price. We ordered: yang chow fried rice, combination chow mien and bbq pork & soya chicken rice.

It was three years ago since my last review. Explored it a few days ago for dinner. Business is still keeping good despite the construction work of the extension of the Marker Square is going on. Clientele was mainly young generation on the night but I believe this café covers quite a broad age group. Ordered Chicken in XO sauce with steamed rice noodle rolls, Shark fin, sliced chicken & sea abalone congee to go with an extra order of fried bread. Love the smoothness of the steamed rice noodle rolls and the taste of spiciness from the XO sauce. Congee was good and served in reasonable portion. Either the steamed rice noodle rolls or the fried bread is the good matching partners to go with the congee.
Overall, food & service have been improved and it deserves thumb-up!

This busy Hong Kong Style cafe has been face-lifted lately. I like the new look and also appreciate the consistency of their food productions. This cafe has been running over 15 years and also has been branching out in other suburbs in Brisbane. I reckon it is the cafe who is most closely trading as a Hong Kong Style cafe in terms of food varieties, service and ambient. Like to have the Ketchup Pork Chop Rice, Portuguese Chicken Spaghetti, Russian Broth and Japanese-Style Eel Fried Rice. I realise that there are some critics on the service and I do wish the management will keep the eyes on it. Do not adopt the rude manners of wait-staff in those cafes in Hong Kong. Patrons are coming to enjoy the food not the bad dining experience.
This is one of the few HK style cafes (Cha Chan Tang) in Brisbane, so I've found it best to order these kind of dishes, e.g. the baked spaghetti or bake rice options. Also, the T-bone steaks are surprisingly good, and great value! I know it may seem weird to go to a Chinese place and order western style food, but this is actually an authentic form of modern Hong Kong cuisine.
The service is always quick and fast. The menu offers a generous variety of chinese/australian dishes. Paul Lay and I got seafood kway teow & tbone with chips&veg. Generous portion for the price honestly its so good even the large drinks come LARGE, always a great place to come if you have no idea what you want to eat they cater to anything you might want .

I was famished and as “ tools were down” for the night I found this little jem up the road.
Very late night order he kept the door open so I could sneak in and pay
The main was a very simple Pork Ribs Peking sauce did not opt for the steam or egg rice.
It was warm sweet and smattering of pineapple pieces and was delightful soft to the bite. Not oily, a lot of meat as that was a small! Serving which will give me s snack and feed the weekend drop ins .
Not terribly “Peking” but as I asked for half serve one can’t complain. As I opted for no plain / egg rice I purchased the Salty fish and Chicken Fried Rice to complement the sweet main, very nice not terribly salty nor fishy but s terrific combination to nibble on at this ungodly hour.
Due to the time I had no trouble finding a park, if you don’t know the “ old market square “ maybe a little tricky to find but there are signs to assist
All over s tasty treat for a very long day
Definitely will return have some lunch specials like the curry fish balls and rice for lunch amongst others.
So many eat spots in that particular corner the competition in my beloved Sunnybank is moving to I higher level and spreading towards associated local suburbs

Having walked past this restaurant dozens of times, we decide to give it a try today. The cold air conditioning is a welcome respite to the 33 degree heat outside. We are shown to our table and iced water is served with our menus.
Our lunch order is served within 15 minutes. My Char Kueh Teow ($12.90) has a very generous serve of flat rice noodles, 2 prawns, 4 small pieces of chicken fillet and a few slices of fish cake. This Hong Kong version of Malaysian Char Kueh Teow is too sugary sweet and I cannot taste any smokey flavour on the noodles. I appreciate the large serving but there should be more prawns and chicken.

My partner’s bowl of (10) Won Ton Soup ($10.90) is simply presented with Chinese vegetables. The won tons are nice, perhaps small in size but they are tasty with the hot broth.

This place never disappoints, today was no different, plenty of seating before the dinner rush.
We were seated and given menus and what felt like an eternity, wait staff finally came around. Ordered beef brisket with rice noodle the picture looked good and have always been a fan of brisket. Wife always gets the same pork chop and rice baked in tomato sauce along with 2 lemon honey drinks.
Drinks are first to come out and was a nice refreshment. Our meals then come out pretty Quick, but they were just dropped on the table by the other wait staff, didn't ask who got what just put it for us to sort out.
But apart from that, we enjoyed our meals, which were in the larger sized meals. Both of the meals could have fed 2 people, as wife didn't finish her and I didn't date attempt to finish hers off.

Reasonable priced ! Plenty choices from the menu ! Three courses set dinner （ 3 sets A,B or C to choose from ) with soup ( 2 to choose from) of the house , main dish with rice or spaghetti and a cup of coffee or tea for $15.9 ( cash price) in 2022 . What more can you ask for ?
Great atmosphere, food, and service. Our waiting staff was very attentive to us despite having a large party group taking up two large tables.
The food came out fast and was presented nicely. The San Choy Bow (Lettuce wrap) was our favourite dish.
We will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes they offer.
This is the place to share each dish with your friends and family because their proportion are generous. I ordered the dry noodle with BBQ pork and it comes with a small bowl of clear soup. So delicious! Because they have a variety to choose from (from BBQ pork to creamy pasta to steak), there is something for everyone.

A great restaurant for family and friends where the portions are generous, meals are decent pricing and lots to choose from.
Our top meal for the night was their Braised Beef Baked Curry Rice. Topped with cheese, the meat was very tender with a hit of curry flavours. This dish is enough for 2 ppl.
