Good coffee and a popular cafe especially on weekends. Enjoyed by lots of locals who walk in. Have not eaten here yet but lots of patrons were enjoying food for breakfast.
It was a really quaint cafe with a small but specialised menu. The prices were quite consistent throughout as well, making it really easy for us to decide on what to get.
We had the acai bowl and fruit toast with soy mocha and a cuppa latte. Each dish were pleasantly sweet and appetizing, deliciously coupled together with their respective fruit selections. The food were really pretty to look at as well, it was a good choice for a casual brunch :) My only (small) gripe was that the toast was a little too hard, but the flavours really made up for it.
The service was fast and efficient with one guy making coffee and another one taking orders, processing payments and serving food. I chose one of the house-made caramelised onion, sage and cheddar muffins. It was served nice and warm with butter on the side. The muffin was delicious, moist and full of flavour.
Personally liked Campos, but not all cafes serving Campos made nice coffee. My latte at Bean on Dean was presented with a lovely latte art; unfortunately it wasn't hot enough and the milk texture was a bit flat.
Lovely cafe located in Toowong. Campos coffee is made deliciously by their friendly staff. The food options are fresh and beautifully presented. Smashed Avo and feta is divine. My friends, family and I visit on a weekly basis. The owner Cath is warm and all staff are attentive.
I follow Bean on Dean on Instagram, but have never been. Today I was having a mom & daughter day with my favourite daughter New Moon Witch 77 đđand we decided today was the day to check it out.
Again, another scorcher and was absolutely relieved to see they had air con! Yayy!
What a small but funky little cafe with a painted mural and eclectic seats and tables on the footpath.
Not much seating inside, but we squeezed in a corner and got comfy.
We love our Campos coffee which Kate had as a cappuccino 4.5/5. I opted for the cold Green Smoothie! A bit chunky for the straw, but so light and refreshing!! 4.5/5. Not a huge selection of lunch choices as they don't have a proper kitchen. They do breakfasts till 10am weekdays and Middays on the weekend. They have pies and other bought in goodies to have, but we chose to try their Beef, Brie & Caramelised Onion toastie for New Moon and the Mediterranean Toastie for me.
That first bite I was already moaning with delight! It was amazing! New Moon certainly agreed 5/5.
Nice and quiet for lunch, but we both agree we will have to return to try out the breakfast options. Only a 4.5/5 because lunch options were very limited and they shut around 2pm.
We will be back!
Dropped in this café on one Sunday morning couple of weeks ago. I was too early and was told to wait because they needed to warm up the coffee machine. That attitude was good and I think I was at the right place. Took a seat outside and ordered the avocado, ham & cheese melted and a cup of flat white. My gut feeling proved that it was right because the Campos coffee was made to the perfect strength. On the other hand, I had not had "melt" for a long time, the one that they served was superb. Overall experience is recommended.
Such a hidden gem in the backstreets! The coffee is always good and the atmosphere is lovely. Lots of up-cycled tables and fresh flowers. Great for a relaxed Sunday breaky.
Staff are nice and the coffee is good; it's a cute little spot. Wee bit pricey and not a huge selection for breakfast - but what it does it does well.
I love stopping in here after a walk around the area. They get a cyclist rush every morning where it can be hard to get a seat so it's good to avoid then if you want to sit. Coffee is campos standard, staff are really nice. Fit out is upcyclicious. I've had brekky here a few times, smashed avo is good. Menu is light and display cabinet full of sweet and savoury delights. I like
Lovely little suburban place with a trendy vibe. Coffee and food are delicious with some interesting and healthy options. Can be a bit crowded but you usually find somewhere to sit down.
Watch out for the opening hours - they are sometimes closed when you expect most cafes to be open.
Iâm not one to give 5 stars lightly, but I have to confess I love detail, attention and businesses with gusto. I found this at Bean on Dean.
A retro set up, carefully selected furniture, decoration just right and a mix between meaningful details with others less so, but that complement everything just right.
A light 1970s jazz is playing in the background, only for those who want to listen as the volume is low and if you decide to have a chat with your friend, you wonât hear it. However if like me, you are simply observing whatâs happening around you will hear it and enjoy it. The music wraps you around the smells of fresh baked produce, which flies with every customer that walks in as if they knew something I donât. I suspect I must be missing something great.
3 people are working at a regular pace, no rush, no stress, no yelling⊠just right. Obviously they know their clientele, they take orders barely asking for what the locals want as they already know it.
Wonderful demographic of clientele. People getting a quick coffee but also those who call their sons millennials and as a consequence read the paper or look at each other and talk rather than being immersed in their smartphones.
The coffee is good. Not extraordinary but good. I choose a double shot small late and I think is just right. I believe one shot might not get you the flavour youâre after if you like a bit of aftertaste. I also order a plain croissant and it does not disappoint.
Service is quick and accurate. When I walked in I was by myself and by the time I left another 19 people were sitting here. No change to the atmosphere though; still relaxed, efficient, calm.
I overhear the name of Tom, who is attending everyone. Well done Tom.
Congratulations guys.
I will come back, soon.
Iâve recently moved to the area and after trying a few other cafes around I have quickly made Bean on Dean my new go to. The staff are always friendly and genuine, the service is super fast and they do great coffee and snacks. Keep up the great work Bean on Dean!
Love this little spot. Their baked savoury stuff is really good, and their chocolate brownie is easily the best in Brisbane.

Handy suburban coffee place, especially if finishing a ride in ANZAC Park or the Centenary Bikeway. Indoor, outdoor and front awing seating options, street side carparking. Fast and efficient service, good coffee and a selection of bakery style snacks.
Nice cafe with some popular outdoor sidewalk seating. Went for a quick coffee with my husband and his aunt. I got a long black in a mug and a caramelized onion, sage, and cheddar muffin. The coffee was fine, nothing stand out, but the muffin was really, really great. I liked this place. The bathroom is across the road, so it must be shared with the spot across the way.
First exploration, many to come based on this
Local cafe experience, no rush. Was just what I was looking for on a Saturday morning.
Great experience away from the hustle and bustle closer to the city.
One of the best cafes in the inner west. Staff were so friendly and chatty. Food was delicious and iced chocolate was AMAZING
Had the breaky roll. Simple, tasty with bbq relish. Fast friendly service. Coffee great as well.
