Went here for a weekend dinner/snack.
We ordered four pieces of the 'bone-in' chicken with 'korean chilli'. As there was a special event occurring nearby (as part of the Brisbane Festival), we were also given a platter of rice cakes free-of-charge.
The chicken was very well cooked and delicious - hot, succulent, crispy and generously slathered in spicy, sticky sauce. It came with an accompaniment of pickled radish and beetroot, which was fresh and crunchy.
The skewered rice cakes were also delicious - crispy exterior but chewy and soft inside, and also slathered in a similar sticky sauce.
Casual ambience - limited seating indoors and outdoors; there is a licensed bar area attached as well. Friendly and efficient service (note that we were the only customers there at the time). Reasonable prices.
Overall, a delicious evening snack option for crispy korean chicken and rice cakes.
Mmmm korean fried chicken. The fried chicken is light and crispy and well balanced coating to chicken. The shop is small but looks the part of a small themed corner store. We did wait longer than expected seeing as though there wasnt many customer but it was freshly cooked when we started eating. Service was great, which is what you normally get with shops similar to this. Try the snow cheese on your chicken👌👌👌.
Messy, tasty, spicy fried chicken. Not very busy on a Tuesday night but I was there quite early. Cool fitout with a food truck vibe. Seats out on the footpath are nicer but can't drink beer there (license). But inside is ok too. The chicken is delicious and drowning in sauce. I opted for coleslaw as the side instead of chips which helped to offset the fried chicken. Beer essential. If you're staying at the Rydges hotel, head here instead of the hotel bar. Great.
