On paper, Ronny's reads like a movie script for a blockbuster movie starring; Brad Pitt, Will Smith and special guest appearances from Floyd Mayweather and Antonio Banderas. But, you go to the cinema expecting the best film ever and once the credits start to roll, you begin to reflect on your experience.
Was it that good? Could the movie have been better? Why did this popcorn cost me $10 ?
I love a good toasted sandwich and the promise of a place that sells toasties that are a cut above what you would get from a snackbar in an industrial estate (you know the snackbars with R rated adult magazines) is definitely appealing to me.
There are many things that Ronny's gets right: the bread was fresh, great selection of ingredients, plenty of choices (sweet and savory), great coffee (including milk substitutes) and friendly customer service.
However, the pricing doesn't reflect what is essentially a small little vendor in a shopping centre car park. The toasties here are expensive and while they are good, I know the overheads of a place like Ronny's definitely do not warrant the abhorrent pricing. Also, while Ronny's seems like a great concept it doesn't offer you something you can't make yourself at home with a sandwich press.
Then there is the wait. Considering how small this place is, there are at times no more than two people on staff. I have actually been here when there was just one poor lady making the food and the coffee. You can be waiting a long time for your food, speed to get your coffee is pretty good though.
Is Ronny's bad? Definitely not. I've been here a few times, but it is expensive. Sometimes it's cheaper if you just get yourself a coffee from here and make your own toasted sandwich at home instead.
Good coffee and food, however it is a little on the expensive side for what is essentially a kiosk in the middle of the car park. Service can be a little slow but the cakes in the cabinet are tasty!
Yum! Little shop in the centre of the carpark. Serves up great coffee and food. Always quick and staff friendly. Uses elixir coffee which always goes down a treat
Excellent coffee, great place to pick up something on the way to work when you are too lazy to pack your lunch. Friendly service. š
We had to go here as Ramkiens has closed, not many other coffee choices in centre. . The For quick coffee it was good but they definitely like there regular customers. ( not thatās a bad thing)
Disappointed we asked what happens to the cafe and was told they just closed over night, then headed to finders keepers!l, only to be told no they didnāt just close they relocated to brendale. l am not sure how they didnāt know. I was a bit confused on if it intentional or genuine.
Not sure about brendale, I will have to check that out. I was told Before RAMEKINS closed Ronnies was constructed and operating . RAMEKINS was just the best in any way u mention, waiting line for breakfast especially weekends.
A regular of mine and always a pleasure when grabbing my morning coffee. Can be busy at times but that's expected in a busy location. Owners are great and staff are always welcoming. Coffee is fresh and stacks of food choices.
Excellent coffee, friendly service
The staff are somewhat transactional IMO, however, the coffee has always been consistent and genuinely delicious to drink. I was disappointed when they changed from Elixr to Fox (some time ago now) but have over time happily adjusted to the Fox flavour. Thatās a personal preference though, and not to be held against them.
