This is one of our favourite Cafes in Brisbane. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. We love the desserts and beverages here. We visit for coffee and Phuong Tran decides on a Rainbow (Rose) Coffee.
Our beautiful coffee is served with Rose petals in a huge mug with a single shot of coffee. The Rose flavouring is perfect and this coffee deserves a 5! Thank you guys!
My friends and I had brunch at Caffeine Monster over the weekend and loved it. The cafe is unique in decor and has some very “instagramable” drinks and food. I ordered the avocado on toast, peach iced tea and a strawberry and banana milkshake (without fairy floss on top as the cafe was out). The food was great and the atmosphere of the cafe was like sitting in Soho. The cafe offers a lot of board games to play as well to allow you and sit back and relax.
I was so glad to see the cafe that originally used to be Secret Trees has now become Caffeine Monster and I had to try it! I love the layout of this cafe with the music everything, instruments, books and board games. My friends and I played a hilarious card game while we chatted and waited for our food and I loved the music playing in the background too that made you feel so relaxed in the space.
I really enjoyed my rose rainbow latte and the presentation was beautiful. The coffee wasn’t overly strong with one shot and that works well for me for a sweeter drink. For breakfast I had the Eggs Benedict and I loved the added addition of rosemary and other small fruits and nuts for a more flavoursome meal! I also ordered a rose iced tea takeaway (the drip tea I wanted to try was and enjoyed the Summery blend on the hot day along with the script fruit in the cup to eat.
Wow, it looks like a share house living room 😂 but don’t worry the coffee is great and the service is nice - I had a waffle too which seemed like it was home made 👌 very interesting range of drinks and sweets - I’ll be back!
Always walked passed here after dinner nearby...this is the first time we go in just because we really wanna try it out.
Is a chill place, with board games and sofa and charger, can understand why customers three enjoying staying there.
I love my rosewater drink and the cheesecake and the freshly made waffle, but all the drinks we ordered are actually pretty good.
I live nearby this cafe so it's convenient for me to drop by whenever I need a quick caffeine fix. Apart from the beautiful coffee, they also make lots of different amazing drinks, both hot and cold. The interior gives off a nice vibe and is a great place to chill out with friends in the afternoons =)
I've been here several times and have always had a great experience. The staff are friendly and the drinks are fantastic. Love their skull milkshakes and mocktails, and how their iced tea is made using ice cubes with frozen fruit. Very refreshing. It's also a great place to hang out at night because they're open late and have a lot of games (darts, cards, board games, etc) on offer. Awesome grungy atmopshere!
Ambiance (A)
A cosy hidden gem located within a Robertson. You've got to know to come here cause you see it along the main roads. Interiors and deco of the shop brings out a cool-dark vibe. With instruments such as guitars, a piano, and games (a lot of them). I found this place to be a really cool place to hang out at. Also, a plus, they've got darts too!
Drinks (D)
I ended up trying a milkshake and a mocktail. They also do offer a variety of food and coffee/tea too. Milkshakes are uniquely prepared as you get cotton candy/fairy floss on top of your drink which is served in a skull glass.
Chocolate Milkshake with Tim Tams
- Chunks and pieces of Timtams in the Afro of fairy floss. Definitely a sweet treat for the daring
Matcha Lime/Lemon/Honey/Mint Mocktail
- Refreshing with a huge citrus punch

OVERALL: Would recommend to others to give it a try, because I know I will be coming back with my friends
We go here quite often, almost four or five days a week! I have a five year old daughter, the store is kids friendly, my daughter loves here. She always have baby chino with lovely fairy floss. I almost tried every drink. Sunrise and peach tea are my favourite! Got lots of table games here, you'll never get bored. The staff are friendly and helpful. Sometimes you'll even have the chance to here live music here~they open from 8am to midnight, if you find no where to go during night time, caffeine monster is definitely your first choice!
Really nice place to chill out with friends together n talk. Open late 7 days a week. Drinks here are amazing. I recommend u guys should definitely come n try the lychee lemon ice tee. Absolutely beautiful.
I am so glad I decided to pop in here one morning, I didn’t think I’d see a cafe making rainbow coffee on this side of town! Can not recommend the drinks we had enough, amazing!
The cafe interior was really ambient and cool, loved all the different chairs and tables, and game options available. Ordered the rainbow latte and mango banana smoothie. Presentation for both drinks was 10/10! Although I didn’t like the rose petal texture in my drink personally, I still loved the attention to detail and thoughtfulness. My coffee was so smooth tasting, although, I do wish they could make it on specialty milk. Was notified they could only make it on full cream milk because of the latte art, however, in other cafes in the past I’ve ordered a rainbow latte on skim. Regardless, it didn’t really bother me, just something they could consider trialling.
Will definitely be back for another coffee and hope to try out some of their food options. ⭐️
Just passby, hope to have a beautiful coffee with the stunning weather, however, boss is not there, no rainbow. A little bit disappointed. Still, worth to come as the interior setting is nice and cozy.
I’ve been here several times and still love the place like the first time I came.
Variety menu with great drinks and food.
Quiet and chill place for relaxing or studying.
Highly recommended.
I loved the ambience at Caffeine Monster. The decor was perfect and the music played on the day we visited was good too. They have a variety of board games, and it's a nice place to play a game of chess or something else with a good cup of coffee.
There were a variety of drinks on the menu, and most of them looked like great flavour combinations. I tried one of the mocktails, The Darkness and it tasted really good. I would definitely return to try a few more things from the drinks menu.
Stopped in with a friend after dinner in the area. Loved the vibe, really funky decor etc. Nice coffee, tea and delicious caramel cheesecake and red velvet cake! A little on the pricey side but would come back again.
Coffee is fine. Love the jazz music and wooden seating. There is no aircon. Ask for a key to the downstairs toilet.
The staff are friendly and didn't mind me hanging around nursing my coffee for almost an hour.
This place is characterful and accommodating. I was served the perfect coffee. Absolutely will be back.
