Just ordered delivery through the SMC app.... some good things have come from Covid-19!!
Super easy process, got an immediate email confirmation with the time of delivery. A few minutes after delivery time, received a text advising it was on way and apologies for not being on time. (This was no problem, it was only 15 mins after ordering, so it was still super fast anyway. Thoughtful nonetheless.)
Ordered 2 x pizza, carbonara and some cocktails (see, good things to come out of the virus!!). The pizza was hot and delicious. The tomato base was lovely, the cheese mild, the salami perfect. A little more basil on the Margherita would have been nice, but that’s a small thing. The dough was tasty and had a nice chew, thin and cooked well.
The linguine carbonara was great. Usually not my thing in Australia... all that gluggy cream...ugh! But I had a taste of this and it was delicious. No cream in sight... just a salty, pancetta fat coating over the al dente pasta. Well done, SMC!
And how damned cute are the little glass bottles and jar of cocktails!!? We felt like cocktails and so excited that we could indulge whilst being isolated...socially. They were strong, tasty and a brilliant idea to have them in the cute glass bottles. I will definitely be using them again.
Very impressed with the app, service and quality of our order. And whilst I am an UberEats user, it’s great to see a local business creating the app and utilising their staff to keep people employed in this strange time... Excellent job, Salt Meat Cheeses. I will sing your praises to all that will listen.

An impromptu Italian lunch here was defined by want vs need. We *wanted* to take full advantage of Aperol Sunday but sadly *needed* to be somewhere else pronto. The compromise? Power thru pizza & pasta at lightning speed. Obviously. After a laidback start, the team happily rushed an order for us & we really appreciated their indulgence.
Polpette pizza hit the ground running. Dope-AF combo of fior di latte, housemade meatball ragu, pistachio & beautiful parmigiano shards all on a perfect wood fired base - holy meatballs it was deeeelishe. Would return for more pizza anytime. Crab tagliolini didn’t quite hit its stride for us. Clean flavours were simple & very subtle. Would have loved more actual salt or seasoning in this whole Salt Meets Cheese situation - a catch 22 though with such hurried service I’m sure. Overall nice food, nice location & great staff.
Top of my ‘needs’ list for next time is me vs cheesewheel pasta with all the time in the world (I think we all know who the winner will be...)
We ate dinner at the vegan all you can eat night and it was delicious! The pizza and pasta was very tasty and the service was fast and very friendly.
Nice Food, Nice location. Need to have Gnocchi available 24/7, would be nice to be able to order a nice Italian steak too. Will be back however.
It has been voted Best pizza in Brisbane and now I know why. Best service and amazing cocktails. The outdoor areas are very nice and they are both dog friendly. the cheese wheel night was incredible
Salt Meats Cheese is a satisfying dinner option when you have an urge for italian. I really enjoy their carbonara as it is delicious and filling, their tiramisu is also tasty and I loved the gnocchi night my friends and I attended trying different flavours.
The pizzas where nicely balanced, also had a delicious thin and crispy crust, would definitely eat there pizzas again. The service here was also nice.

Very pleasant experience here with a cool vibe in the restaurant and good service, location is pretty good and dood reasonably priced for this area , will def be back
Came for an early dinner on a Friday night and these guys did not disappoint.
We chose to sit outside although the lack of other diners outside didn’t mean we were forgotten. We both tried an Italian beers while waiting for our food . Food came out before we could finish them.
Hubby had the Amatriciana pizza and I had the ravioli. The pizza base was beautifully charred with the perfect texture. The pancetta was delicious. The ravioli was cooked to perfection with just enough sauce.
We will absolutely be back. The food was very authentic and the service was impeccable.
Went for their Ravioli Night. Despite them not being able to locate our confirmed booking, this was a minor glitch to our night and we were seated quickly.
Food was excellent, ambience was charming and all covid protocols were followed.
Above all, we just want to appreciate our affable and charming host, Mario Ricardo. He was so attentive, knowledgeable with the menu and his whole service approach and demeanour was consistent with the other patrons too. Thank you, Mario.
We had a lovely evening and we look forward in returning back.

Went here on a dining voucher. There is a lot of room for improvement and it could potentially be a really good venue. Service seems a bit all over the place, people not knowing what to do and workers overlapping in duties. Had to flag someone down to order after waiting for like 20 minutes for someone to take our order lol. Food also has potential to be good but even some simple dishes lacking.
Fries 3/5🍟 - serving quantity was huge but fries tasted like no seasoning and were very large size. Was expecting some real good quality for $9
Aperol Spritz 3/5🍸 - probably would not order again
Cauliflower and carrots 🥕5/5- now this was my favourite part and so flavourful, great job here
Vegan arancini balls 5/5 - this was also perfect, crunchy, flavourful, and being vegan didn't make you feel too full after without all the dairy :)
Cheese pizza 3/5 🍕- looked okay but when first picked it up to put it on my plate hadn't even set it down yet and literally all my toppings had fallen off. In t he end just ate all the toppings mixed with crust as the pizza dough was very soggy.
Pumpkin salad 3/5🥗 - the salad itself was okay but the pumpkin to salad ratio was terrible. Its meant to be a pumpkin salad not a feta, balsamic, spinach salad. Tiny cm cubes of pumpkin lol. Was going to eat it as a main to expecting some lovely big chunks of roasted pumpkin for $22.
Barrata 2/5🍅 - I was expecting a caprese ish salad but this was just inedible, what was the watery substance at the bottom? As it wasn't helping the dish.
All in all, a beautiful restaurant with high ceilings and furnishings, and some great food. Just need to do more staff training and then adjust the meals to make the dishes more impactful that makes customers want to come back.
If I could give six stars I would! Fantastic food, fantastic service, and great vibes. All of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable - particularly Mario, who looked after us with with impeccable service. My friend and I shared a pizza, a main, two desserts, and each had a cocktail, and every single one was delicious! We will definitely be returning.
I am not normally a fan of pasta... my wife is... but this one, love their prawn linguine!!! So much prawns in it, and the taste was just balanced... their pizza, Diavola... aahh, have to say, its just sooo good too!!! Service wise, Daniela, the lovely lady who served us was very attentive to our needs, and other staff were also great! Kodus to you all...
The place was really nice that we ended up having one of our friends birthday celebrated there last night! And guess what i ordered for myself? Prawns Linguine! Hahaha... and I was in heaven again! And Daniela, our server again! She was really great, along with her colleague, the bday party was a success!
It was my second time at Salt Meats Cheese and I will come back again definitely!! I have loved everything I ordered, the pizzas, Calamari Fritti, pasta and Tiramisu. Airana, thanks for the amazing service.
The pizza was really good, service was great. Gnocchi Yum. Cocktails were well done.
while the salad was filled with awesome quality fillings, the leaves weren't dressed which was truly the only miss.
Still giving it 5 stars as I've already been back twice.
kids ate free on Sunday what a bargain.
We love Italian food and this place was fantastic. The atmosphere was great and the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Mario in particular took us through all the menu highlights, which helped us with our menu selections).
The food was great and we really need to get back there to try some of the other options.
Thanks again for a great meal and evening. We'll be back.😉
