This place as a friend put it was very “dark and not well lit” at night, perhaps given the radiology place next door was closed. The outside ambience was a bit dark, but inside was ok - so don’t let that fool you.
We came here after movies at South Bank, and overall not bad. You are paying a bit of premium for location IMO, but that is offset by our entertainment book 25% off voucher - although you get 5% anyway for checking in on Facebook.
Service - food came out quick - almost too quick as almost 10minute difference between serving of first main and sixth last main dish to our friend.
Food itself - Tom Yum fried rice was really good - highly recommended. Other duck dish was not as impressive.
Overall 4/5
Very good experience dining at this restaurant. We ordered the cashew stir fry, coconut rice, pad see ew and roti bread. The food came out very quickly and everything tasted amazing. The service was also very nice!
Excellent Thai restaurant, good service and a rather romantic setting near a pond at SouthBank away from the hubub. Much better than a lot of places on Little Grey Street, probably one of the best at Southbank all round. Food seems good so far but I'd like to go back to explore more of what they have.
Towards the more authentic than westernised end of the scale, this is a good value Thai restaurant with very decent food and a lovely view across the South Bank Parklands. Service is friendly and efficient and the lunch menus are reasonably priced with generous servings. I ordered the Pad Thai last time I went, but have also had the Kai Pad Krapow, both of which were delicious. This is one of the better establishments in the South Bank precinct.
Although there was a slight mix up with the addition of meat to my Asian omelette for breakfast, everything was quickly corrected & I received the vegetarian version along with some nice hot red chilli & a large mound of rice. Coffee was quite passable with a double shot too. Attentive & friendly service & pet friendly seating outside
This place never let us down. I always asked for extra spicy pad see ew and they always delivered and my husband always ordered pad thai chicken and he was also never disappointed. Thai done well.

Spring rolls for entree were over cooked. Rice paper duck rolls were very flavor some.
Pad Thai was very tasty. Roast duck and tamarind sauce was well spiced but was delivered almost cold. Duck was quite chewy. Venue was suitable but nothing fancy. Service was friendly but tardy. Maybe just a tad above average experience.
While we were walking beside the river at Southbank we decided to take a different path into Grey Street and found this Thai restaurant for the first time. It's secluded in the river area it is but also right there in the heart of Southbank so it has a lovely ambience but not too many people coming by.
We ordered the vegetable samosas, yellow curry and a vegetable tom yum soup and it was all the best I've had in ages. The tom yum soup was just perfect because it wasn't overpowering at all but it still had a kick. The vegetable samosas were also little pieces of heaven with a fantastic dipping sauce and the yellow curry was perfect for two.
The prices were very fair for the amount of food and I was very impressed with the quality. I can't wait to come back here for another lunch or dinner and try more of the menu.
Really nice place. we went for lunch and it was quiet, I guess because it's out of the way off the main strip of Southbank. We got lunch specials; the peanut satay roti, beef massaman curry and ka prao chicken (sorry about that spelling!!). My curry was excellent, VERY generous on how much meat was in. Mum had the chicken and she enjoyed it, same thing there was ALOT of meat. The pic of the pond was the view from our table. Would definitely come back again
