Been here too many times to count! Perfect for a light meal, or you can get the platters if you're more hungry. Prices are very decent for the portion and quality of food. There is usually a line when ordering, but it's definitely worth it because it moves quickly and the food is always delicious. My personal favourite is the cheese (halloumi) pie. Love all of the dips as well.

I loved the food including the Zataar, Cheese pie, and Cheese and spinach Triangle. It is a very good price and the staff there are very nice. My only criticism is at times it can get noisy and crowded. It is a great place to eat and I would definitely recommend it.

Ok for some reason we’ve only tried A1 at some of the other outlets, never the big Brunswick one. Oh my god, it’s amazing. The cheese in the spinach and cheese triangle was so incredibly fresh and soft. The meat pizza was fantastic. A great coffee too. We will trek back over again soon!

It’s hectic inside but they run a tight ship.

There is a reason A1 is always packed. If you value your happiness, you must order the foul moudammas - too delicious for words. They also have some of the best falafel. All baked items can be made with vegan cheese instead of regular cheese if you would so prefer. You will froth.

I'm so lucky to live down the street from this local gem. There are lots of Lebanese bakeries around but A1 is one of the best thanks to its large space and varied, inexpensive, vegan-friendly menu. I usually go for the falafel platter full of pickles and tahini. But a haloumi pizza or pide and a coffee is always a great option as well.

The labne here is so rich and flavourful! Everything was so delicious and fresh for such a budget price. Super efficient service to handle the crowds.

I love the old school resturant style, the little continental shop which is also inside was so sweet

The prices of the dishes were such good value for the size. I ordered lamb on hummus which came with pita to dip it was my first time ordering this I loved it can't wait to come back and try again.

I also ordered falafel which came with pita, tahini dip and a side of mixed pickled veg. The combination just worked the creamy tahini and tart veg was a taste sensation.

My husband had the cheese pie and loved the doughiness of the pastry we will certainly be back

Portion is huge for the price The bread is amazing, fresh from the oven! Definitely recommended. The line can be overwhelming but it moves really fast. Staff is very friendly too so you don’t feel like the wait is bad at all!

Always a line but quick serve of INCREDIBLE food. Vegan options galore! Definitely a family run business feel with a small Middle Eastern grocery. You will not be disappointed. Apparently, it has been around since 1992. Made with love for a long time!

We just ordered a latte here and really enjoyed the latte as well as the ambience. People who worked here were very friendly and the vibe was lively. They also have a mini supermarket stocked with certain products for customers to buy. I definitely wanna try their desserts soon. Good place to go for a cup of coffee and chat with friends.

A1 Bakery’s venue was old and run down, however they served the most amazing middle eastern pastries and pizzas. All the dishes I’d tried were so tasty; meaty, cheesy and packed with fragrant middle eastern spices. Highly recommended if you felt like good value middle eastern cuisine.

A1 is a cult classic and one of the first cafes I dropped into when venturing in Brunswick. Always bustling and rightfully so - there is a feast of delish middle eastern delights to be had 🥙 The cheese pie CANNOT be passed up under any circumstances 🙅‍♀️ it is too good. Zaatar is nice and fresh too. Falafel wrap with the pickles plate as extra is a winner. Nice chips. The meat options are exceptionally well done (cooking wise) which isn't my all-time favourite but never go wrong with the array of other options. Lovely family owned establishment with staff that really care. They are devoted to freshness and will even hand out remaining pitas from the day for free. That's a commitment to freshness! 🌱 Nice work guys, see you again soon! Edit - got the cheese pie and hummus w/ lamb platter + pickle platter delivered. Yum! Fresh and full of life!

I love this bakery! Delicious, great atmosphere. This time I tried their tabouli, falafel wrap and shanklish platter. I am stuffed but I wish I could eat more. I can't wait for my next visit

Food was brought up very quickly and it tasted actually not bad based on it’s price, only 10$ for a A1 special pizza. I can see why it’s so busy and popular. Totally worth a try.

Awesome food. Most things are in house made. The breads absolutely delicious, there a reason why this place is always busy with people grabbing quick bites for breakfast or lunch.

After seeing the Anthony Bourdain episode that included A-1, I made the trip to try it for myself. So glad I did! So many choices and all were equally delicious. Literally bought enough food to feed four people (even though there were only two of us) and spent just over $30. I can’t wait to go back.
