dayum what an experience! Easily one of the most expensive pho bowls I’ve ever paid for but putting that aside, the mushroom pho was sensational ! I went here for a lunch and decided to give the mushroom pho a go & when it came out it I was surprised at the amount of different type of mushrooms they used. Very different and very yummy it’s definitely worth a go when you are in the area, the restaurant has a modern yeah cosy feel which makes perfect for a quick enjoyable lunch in Brunswick.
Great food, many vegan/vegetarian options in the menu, quick service and friendly staff! It’s a bit small so it’s best to get in early or going in smaller groups of people!
Delicious food and cozy ambience! I had a rice paper roll as an entree (really tasty) and then the chicken rice (also very tasty and delicious). I also had sake and wine. It is worth coming!
One of the best phos I've ever had. Friendly staff, fresh ingredients food was fragrant and flavoursome. Would love to get everything on the menu. Loved sitting at the bar and watching the chef's create such amazing dishes
Absolutely love this place, great atmosphere and setting, the place is really clean and tidy, small but intimate. The pho we had were so delicious, and the service was very good.
This may be the most expensive pho that I’ve had in Melbourne. But for good reason. You can taste the extra love and the quality ingredients that go in to a regularly cheap(ish) dish. I will say that for $8 the two chicken wings weren’t that special. But easily overlooked when we came for pho! Service was kind and non-invasive. Will definitely be back 💯 thanks guys.
Fantastic place for a bite around Brunswick. Their rice dishes and soup dishes are equally good. It's a busy place, and be prepared to queue, but it is definitely worth it. The efficiency of the staff is pretty amazing to watch as well.
Always come here for a bowl of hearty beef pho when craving for phos. The beef is so tender and broth is just delicious.
Amazing vegan pho, rice paper rolls and spring rolls. Loved it all. I think the pho is a bit expensive though. (I can get just as good at just vegan in Sunshine for about 11 bucks) I'd also love to see their menu expand with even more vegan options. They're really generous with sauces which I love. I'd definitely come back.
WARNING: Once you have Good day’s pho it will ruin all other pho for you! The fired chicken wings are also great along with everything else on the menu. 👌
Really tasty noodles! Friendly service, can't book tables but there's a fair amount of in & outdoor seating in this small venue. Food is so tasty & the place smelt amazing. Generous portions. Small food menu + small drinks selection.
I ate in but take away is available.
Limited vegan/veggie options but options available were delicious. Friendly staff.
Environment is good for either private dining or a small sized party. Authentic Vietnamese food, very very delicious! Try out the beef pho or chicken rice, never goes wrong 😜
Tasty Vietnamese soups and rice dishes. Friendly service and vibrant atmosphere. A little pricier than other less fancy Vietnamese restaurants like in Footscray or Richmond. The place is smallish and can be squashy when it's busy. Be prepared to wait to get a seat inside or outdoor seating but it's worth it.
Simply delicious. I enjoyed the beef pho which was very rich. Quite a small tight space so might be a bit tricky for larger groups but I enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the chefs cook. Only had to wait 5 minutes for a table around 12.30 on a Sunday. Staff were super friendly.
Yep. This is it!
What a Phở! 🍜
Nice fresh innovative take on the old faithful.
The silkiest noodles you will ever have, the most tender brisket, and richest broth.
Such an awesome feed, was a great portion, with a side of spring rolls and a celebratory beer 🍻 nice.
PS - get the chicken wings, you won't regret it!
Edit - chicken rice and noodle salad are divine. Have been back >5x. Local favourite ✅
Good Days in Brunswick is popular with the local hipsters. Not being a local or a hipster, I walked in with some apprehension.
☀️The sunny bits:
The decor and atmosphere was surprisingly impressive. The friendly service and simple menu made the initial process a breeze to navigate. The beef pho was delicious and the quality of the beef was up there. The noodle salad was beautiful to look at. The freshness of the ingredients together with the sauce made me very happy.
☁️The cloudy bits:
Prices were definitely on the steeper side but you do get what you pay for.
⭐️The forecast:
Sunnydays at Good Days equals happy days!
I have been to good days twice now, I feel like this is a restaurant that likes to the add their own touch to the traditional Vietnamese food. The beef pho is by far the most satisfying one. The presentation is stunning. Unlike the traditional one, the beef taste more like roast beef and it comes with two dipping sauces. The broth tastes amazing and flavourful. I actually drank the whole bowl and wasn't thirsty after that (other places either too oily or put lots of msg in it and makes me thirsty afterward). For the chicken rice, the chicken tastes good with the green sauce but the portion is bit small for me. Will come back for other food.
30/06/2022 edit: the fried chicken wings are amazing.
It's not uncommon for my wife and I to drive down to Springvale for a regular pho fix.. I tell you.. eating pho at Good days by far exceeded our exceptions. While being a different experience and slightly pricier.. you pay for what you get. Good quality meat, the beef soup had rich umami flavours..
Nice atmosphere..
Friendly and fast service.
Really enjoyed sitting up at the bar and watching all the kitchen going on's. :) Next time I am keen to try the broken rice chicken..
And yes, the chilli decent hot:)
