I'd heard so.much about Grunske's I had to try it for lunch and wasn't disappointed. The view over the river was beautiful and we ordered a seafood platter for 2 which, coming from the Central Coast of NSW, I thought was incredibly cheap. The platter was as fresh as you'd expect and the wine list was above average. All in all an unforgettable lunch with friends..highly recommended.
Fabulous fresh seafood. We had the hot & cold platter for two which was delightful. Wonderful staff who went out of their way to arrange a table on the railing. This was our 3rd visit and we purchased some frozen & fresh to bring back to Brisbane. The staff packaged the seafood for our flight home which arrived in excellent condition.
We will be back in a month or two to restock.
The best seafood at great prices

Fresh and delicious seafood. We eat here as often as possible. We rarely order the fried fare. Favourites are salt water barra with skewer of prawns and scallops - mouth-wateringly succulent with a delicious creamy sauce. Also the Asian coconut prawns with wilted greens on rice. Quality is exceptional, position on the river delightful.
This is my second visit to Grunsky's and I'll definitely be back again. The food is fresh and tasty at reasonable prices. We paid $140 for 4 people including drinks. The venue is licensed so some of us had a wine with lunch. I only gave it 4 stars as it's not table service for ordering or delivery of your meals. So we booked a table on the main deck, but had to line up for 10 minutes to order food. I think adding table service would level up this restaurant. The service was very friendly.

What a great location overlooking the river. Lovely open air venue (with a roof) wonderful friendly staff and the food, well, just magic. We had entrees; steamed chicken and pork wantons, a bit disappointing due to lack of flavour and very gluggy but the dipping sauce helped and prawn and scallop skewers WOW. Tender, delicious with a smoky flavour, Yum.
Mains were coconut curried prawns with tender greens, absolutely Supurb and a prawn cocktail as the other main. Serves were also generous. The bill with drinks just on a $100. Not bad seeing as it's seafood. Thank you Grunske's, will definitely be back.
An absolutely wonderful seafood market with an attached licensed restaurant. This right on the waterfront of Burnett River (which goes through the city of Bundaberg). The restaurant service is basic. You go up to the counter, order and pay, and they'll give you a buzzer. The food is exceptional, the prices are amazing, and the staff are friendly. I believe that they are only open during the day, (you'll have to check out their website). Bookings are recommended during the peak times (i.e. school holidays, and long weekends). If you are new to Bundy, and love seafood, this is the place to go.
Awesome restaurant to enjoy a great feed of seafood at reasonable prices. Pre book a table, place is busy and only way to get a seat. Check in upon arrival and they do check you have used qld app. Taken to table to sit and enjoy vista whilst you decide from extensive menu what to eat. View of trawler, river and wildlife around such as pelicans wanting the scraps from the trawler.
You can go to outside windows to get jugs of water or order drinks before ordering food. You go inside to order, we had to queue 10 minutes to order. They do say can take 45 minutes to get your food. We got served quicker. Whilst in queue to order you can see samples of the food you can order, plus see the cakes on offer for dessert.
If in big group suggest you tell them so you can get food on one buzzer. Then it all arrives together. You collect your food from outside windows when buzzer goes off.
Food was yummy. I had Antarctic Toothfish, a new food experience. Found it to be a delicate medium tasty fish. Well worth trying once. The toothfish, plus battered mackerel and chips with coleslaw and tartare sauce plus one glass of wine cost $66.40.
Recommend Grunske's for a fishy tasty friendly time.
You also buy seafood from their shop at the front.
The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The prawn plate is perfect for sharing with the table. They're enormous so a few go a long way. I had the macadamia crusted coral trout and I couldn't recommend it more, it was amazing. Everything we had came in large portions, well cooked and great value for the price. The wait for the food was so much shorter than expected which was a nice bonus, but with the view from our table on the lower balcony we wouldn't have minded any wait. The view of the river is unimpeded and stretches as far as you can see.
Simply amazing, fresh seafood, super tasty, also the side sauces amazing
We really enjoyed, and what a view!! If you're on bundaberg it's worthy to stop and try!!!
