Don't be put off by the poor zomato rating, this cafe is one of our favourite stomping grounds. As the name suggests, Fusion brings a mix of Eastern and Western flavours typical of Hong Kong cuisine. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a full meal this place has you covered. We usually stop by for the afternoon tea special available from 2:30pm-5:30pm.

why is the rating so low...? I thought the food was pretty decent. my friend ordered a congee last time and it came in a gigantic size. like noodle soup bowl size

Fusion Cafe is my go to place for Congee in Burwood. Have tried their chicken & abalone mushroom congee, century egg with pork fillet congee and fish fillet in ginger shallot congee. All 3 are very good and come with a side dish. I usually go for the deep fried dough stick or steamed rice rolls. They serve a smaller portion with complimentary Hong Kong style milk tea or Hong Kong style milk expresso at a reduced price for breakfast.

Their other dishes don't stand out to me.

One thing I don't like is that if they are a bit busy, it can take over 45mins to get served which is very bad especially when they do not let the customer know of the long waiting time when putting the order. I've experienced that twice in about 10 visits:once around 6.30pm on a weeknight and once at 2pm on a Saturday.

My go-to place when I can't be bothered to cook and feel like healthier food (well they claim their food is msg-free). Love their congee and baked rice.
