Nice vegetarian eatery tucked away in a little alley off the main road in Byron CBD. Great selection of food: curries, dhals, koftas etc, salad and great vegan desserts. You can select a small, medium or large plate with rice and abundant selection of curries. They have even brown rice at no additional coast. One of the favourite spots in Byron.
I'm not a vegetarian, and I've never liked vegetarian food. But this place was different. It's tucked away in a little corner of Byron bay and I'm so glad I went. The setting is very cozy and comforting and they serve the most delicious, flavoursome yet very clean food. The food is so homey and you feel so welcome and at home in the actual restaurant itself. A little small but that's ok. I went here with my mum and the total cost for the two of us was $28 for some pretty big portions, which is cheaper than a dish for one person at the hotel we are staying at. My only fault would be that the food was colder in some areas than others as it had been kept warm in a cabinet and some things had been baked before others etc. anyway, if you come here, I'd highly recommend the lentil pie. delicious combination of lentils, spice and potato: perfect balance.
Good wholesome well priced food. Slightly confusing ordering system, you have to order at the counter which is annoying and they won't take cards which is annoying when you salary sacrifice on a meal and entertainment card, but otherwise great food and friendly service.
Still satisfying. We've been to Cardamom Pod so many times over the last five to six years - and it's still good. Good price and satisfying when you don't feel like the run-of-the-mill cafe food or sandwiches, etc. It's always got people there or coming and going, so you know the food is fresh too. We always go here at least once on a trip to Byron.
I have to say - I miss the doughnut shop that used to be right beside CP - that double-act was too good!
Good place for vegan food. Tried paneer spinach samosa with mango chutney. Mango chutney is super tasty. Tried rice with lentil pie and bean curry. Amazing food.
We go there everytime we visit from Sydney. Great food, great price, comfy decor, and has a great arty vibe. The customers are friendly and willing to have a chat over lunch. The workers don't seem overly friendly but maybe it just depends on who you get on the day. If that doesn't phase you, would highly recommend this place.
Wholesome, nourishing, and absolutely delicious, if you go on the weekend they've got the Thai Green curry!! DELISH!
otherwise I usually opt for the kofta balls and load up on their salads, soo tasty.

Very tastful food, healty and vegetarian at fair price. You chose the size of plate/price and can choose from the "buffet". Better don't come too late to risk that it is already eaten.
Very delicious vegan foods for affordable price. Vegan samosa with sauce is also delicious. Highly recommended.
Hidden Byron Gem !!! Best vegetarian food at an unseemly affordable price - how is this food so good and so cheap? Seriously on any budget this place is worth a visit. My favourite was the Vegetable Gratin (YUM) and the assortments of Salads. And seriously your cheesecake was the best cheesecake, vegan or otherwise, I've EVER HAD !!! Thank you for all that you do !!!
