This place is amazing. The food, the staff, the cocktails are some of the best I've tasted. I was there yesterday for my wedding recovery party and I can't rave enough about this place. We all had an absolute ball and the staff made us feel like home. I can't recommend this place more highly. If anyone is looking for the perfect place for post wedding catch ups look no further . And if you are just thirsty make sure you drop in and sample one of there signature cocktails. You can't go wrong they are all absolutely delicious .
Whether we are propped up at the bar with a whiskey, or perched with a g&t and the best duck wings we’ve ever eaten overlooking that cracking view, or booking a staff Christmas party, this venue just delivers in volumes. From the moment you arrive and be seated, watch them making cocktails, food quality and presentation, even the way our phone booking was handled, these guys are supremely passionate, and damn good at the craft. The true test of a business is consistency, and the service, outstanding food, attention to detail, they nail it every time, and that’s why we will keep coming back. Thanks guys, we love ya work.
Really enjoyed the speakeasy vibe of this quiet whiskey bar. Extremely talented and friendly bartenders. Good for a date or catch up with the boys
We found The Bolt Hole this evening when walking by and decided to duck in for a drink. We were very surprised with what followed.
Firstly the food. We ordered pulled pork and beef brisket Tacos to start ($5 each) and they were delicious. The meat was very tender with great accompaniments that gave you a burst of flavour throughout your mouth.
Also ordered the chicken wings and pork ribs with a side of chips. One of the best servings of chips I have ever tasted as they were made in house with a great seasoning.
The alcohol. So many choices! On the menu you have nearly 20 options for each type of spirit and a few local beers as well. A very smooth Gin and Tonic from a local Byron Bay company kept me company for the night.
The service. Perfect with the staff checking on us often to see if we needed anything else. Also very knowledgeable of what was available on the menu and gave us their favorite choices which helped us with ours.

Visited this venue on a Tuesday night. We were greeted by a very friendly bartender who sat with us and explained their whiskey/scotch list, with recommendations that did not lead us astray! Cocktails were different and beautiful to taste!!!We ordered the platter to share, it was huge, very tasty, the meat melted in your mouth, and the hand cut chips were amazing! The service on this night was impeccable, meal was well presented and the venue, is well thought out , simple, yet creative. Will definitely come again
We had the best dirty martinis we've ever had in our lives. Simply perfect. I'm afraid we'll never have martinis like those again. Prepared by Zoe - she really knows a lot about the science behind creating amazing cocktails.
$5 tacos were delicious, especially fish and pulled pork taco. We came on a saturday night so they had live music and the atmosphere was great. Watch out for the step as you walk in, my friend and I watched 90% of people trip over it. The only thing that could have been better was the service.
