Delicious food and incredible service. Dave was kind, quick witted and spoiled us rotten. The cheese wheel alone was worth coming to Cairns for (I’m not from here). And I’d do it again. Pizza was authentic. Staff knowledgeable and they do dessert. Yum.

Very nice food. You can taste the authentic Italian food. I had the brucheta (yummy) and the fungi and truffles pasta (yummy yummy). Quick service and the staff were fantastic. Good atmosphere. I will back to try the pizzas because it look amazing in the neighbour table. And I like when they offer you sparkling water.
Overall delicious food and a good experience, but let down slightly by some of the service. Will return.
The coral trout main was delicious and the Bolognese lovely. Good drink selection, including an Italian red and a scotch. Entree and mains came out quickly, given the restaurant was busy.
Came here for dinner for a 7pm booking. Arrived on time and had to wait about 5 minutes for someone to greet us, and about another 10 to be seated and given menus.
Our "assigned" waiter was an Italian lady and her service was great. (Don't recall her name but she said she'd been there about 3 months).
One of the other staff members wasn't as helpful, disappearing when we asked for cutlery, and when we asked for parmesan.
I have been here twice within a week it is seriously that good! Lovely welcoming staff, authentic tasting Italian food and a great setting. Highly recommended if you are traveling to Cairns !!
A great place to eat. The ambience and food are excellent. This is our 5th time there. We don't live in Cairns, so make a special effort when we are here.
Sensational night dinner at Piccolo Cucina tonight with everything all round being of a very high standard. Our meals arrived quickly after ordering, they were all delicious, the service was attentive but not intrusive, and the deserts were yummy. We ordered the pork belly, fish of the day, meatballs and pasta. Everything was simple but tasty! We also had a fantastic wine to accompany dinner. Well done Piccolo!
absolutely amazing, hand on heart the best pizza ive had, wood fired, smokey, cheese and lamb sausage tasted expensive lol…amd the pasta was next level! will defs be returning and can highly recommend
Have had the pleasure of dining here a few times on business trips from Brisbane and can say this is among my top Italian restaurants on the east coast - hearty and tasty… better than Nonna used to make (don’t tell her i said that tho).
The service is second to none - so welcoming and attentive, and the staff provide great recommendations across both the menu and wine list.
You won’t go wrong with the Parpadelle alla Modenese or the Gnocchi ai Quattro Formaggi for mains with a bottle of whatever Chianti the team recommends, followed by Tiramisu or Cheesecake di Limone for dessert.
Make sure you finish off with the housemade Limoncello for the perfect night cap!

A piece of Italy in the middle of Cairns!
Fantastic table service (which I find rare in Australia), the food is authentically italian - very very delicious! I had the pizza with prosciutto and rucola, definitely the best one I had in a while! The wine was great too.
