I dont ever give reviews but for this little Cotton Club i just couldnt go without sharing my thoughts on such a wonderful litle place, in the heart of cairns its a cozy, quaint little pub. The dimly lit lights inside, large booths, timber and brick decor sets for a nice evening, outside heaters and live band perfect for lively chatter. The Staff were absolutely beautiful with attentive skills, making everyone feel welcomed, as all pubs you go upto order food&drinks although a kind employee offered to go up and order our drinks for us if we prefer to do that which was a sweet offer! Let me get to the food WOW, a full menu with just delicious food, not your ordinary pub cuisine, prices are average mains $20-30 the servings are huge and well worth every $1...if your in Cairns you must simply try here for a bite to eat! And if your young they have a nightclub upstairs :) ps free Wifi if your inclined this way...
Great food! Live music! Perfect place for a meal or drink after a busy day :)
This Restaurant being on the prime areas of Cairns brings the crowd in through it's cool beautiful ambience cool music and the very friendly staff .. The food here i tried here was chicken steak with beer fries and basil margarita pizza with some nice chilled beer and a very nice cosmopolitan ever had here . would love to visit again here ..
I wish I took a photo of my food before I demolished it because it was just as well presented as it tasted.
After a few weeks of some heavy eating I decided it was probably wise to get some veggies into me so I had the roast veggie wrap. But still got a side of fries 😏 and shared a mojito jug with my girl.
Everything from start to finish was on absolute point! The cocktail jug was $16 and hit the spot on a warm summer day. The wrap was flavourful and $11. And finally the fries.. my girl couldn’t finish hers and there was no way I was leaving any on either of our plates, so as a result I gave myself food sweats haha. The cherry on top was the customer service we received from Paul and Katie. Don’t judge a book by its cover. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here for under $50
I ordered the roasted vegetable wrap with beer battered fries and it was INCREDIBLE! It was so fresh, great portions and a great value. There’s live music on the weekends and the owner Paul was very personable and friendly. So glad I walked passed here! You must eat here! Only a 5 min walk away from the marina...Which is very touristy and sometimes not even that great for what you pay.
For $28 Steak of Origin, you could not beat this! The steak was perfectly cooked, the chips were fresh and tasty. The salad was super yummy and don't even get us started on the toppers! These ribs were INCREDIBLE! Staff were pleasant and welcoming. It wasn't overly crowed for Origin which made the experience more pleasurable for me, it was loud but not so much that you couldn't hear the person next to you talking. The Cotton Club have gained new customers tonight in us! We will be back again to try more yummy food. Oh, GO QUEENSLANDER!!!!!!!
I went in for an early bird dinner. You get to choose two courses for only $25. In my opinion it was really worth it. My sticky ribs were so good. The barramundi served with garlicky tomato sauce was decent, but a bit overcooked. Their drinks menu is very affordable, around $16-$18 for a cocktail.
Wow. That word in itself is enough to describe this place. The food is fantastic, yeah it's not a 5* restaurant but it really is amazing. The staff are brilliant, all friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. We had lunch the other day and after sending my compliments to the chef he came from the kitchen to thank me. We went back for our dinner this evening and were amazed again, the portions are generous and again very attentive staff. We would recommend this place to everyone and if we didn't have a flight tomorrow this would be our new local.
If you are in the area looking for food then definitely go here.
Great food great service and great value for money. Very happy we stopped here for dinner and will definitely return.
The Cotton Club is in a very convinient location within the heart of Cairns and a very inviting looking, tasteful decorated, classy restaurant! After a very friendly welcome - the staff is excellent, we choose to sit in the open as Cairns has such a nice tropical athmosphare, especially during the evenings. All meals served were cooked to perfection and divine, the three of us found good reasons to rave about them, they were a tastebuds orphery. Something specially to mention, there pepper souce that came with an also excellent divie tasting steak was one of the finest I have ever tasted.
So bloody good!!! Cheap drinks, and the food is amazing! Even Alf Stewart would be impressed! Definitely come here.
The Cotton Club is a restaurant located in the heart of Cairns with Woolshed (one of the most populair night bars in the area) right above it. It’s a really populair spot for both locals and tourists.
Both inside and outside areas are really comfortable but I always preferred outside for some fresh air and better lighting.
The menu offers a wide variety of foods, starters and drinks. My ‘go to meal’ was the chicken parmi with fries and salad (change the fries in to sweet potato fries for only a dollar extra) but I also enjoyed every single other meal I’ve tried here over 4 months.
Some of the waiters were a bit rude from time to time (since they obviously work long hours on a working holiday visa) but the manager Jan is always nice and thoughtful of his guests. He is always around and ready to help.
