Had FP Super Grill first visit. Excellent value and service. Went back second time this time for take away. Grilled Coral trout combo. Same value and service. Wish they were in Brisbane.!!
We ordered the FP Super Grill and could not have been happier!
The size of the dish was much bigger than expected. It was refreshing to have freshly cooked ( not frozen battered nasty seafood) seafood perfectly seasoned and with fresh herbs. Loved the open kitchen, it was so clean and you could watch your food being cooked. They even battered their own fish!
Service was fantastic, shop was spotless and there's beer on tap

All the joints on The Esplanade looked as if they were charging extra for a delightful view of the mud flats, so I went one street back to Fishpoint . . . and I’m so glad I did.
The grilled (fresh) fish with (fresh) calamari, (fresh) prawns and Greek salad was excellent, as was the service. No pretentious, just bloody good food at a bloody good price.
I’m only in Cairns for two days, but I’ll be back there tomorrow!
P.S. - They have beer and wine.
Lunch pack is fantastic deal. More than enough food, batter is best ever tasted. Generous fish portions, calamari melts in your mouth. Will definitely indulge on return visit to Cairns.
The seafood was simply delicious and fresh. Was very happy with the pricing and portion size. The only thing that could have made the night slightly better was some light music in the background to lighten the atmosphere.
Wow ! If you want value for money, then you get it right here !! We were visiting Cairns and wanted a late lunch and decided to give Fishpoint a go as it was close to our accommodation. Being a family of 6, we decided to grab the family pack and some extra chips, potato cakes and salad not knowing how large the servings were - they’re super generous !! We weren’t able to eat it all- for the first time in a long time !! The fish was huge and tasty, potato cakes and crab sticks yummy and the coleslaw perfect, we’d absolutely eat here again next time we’re in Cairns !!
My advice is ignore the 3.8 rating (which is what they had at the time I reviewed).....fish and chips was absolutely fantastic and perfectly cooked and I'm fussy and hate greasy food. Chunky chips, nicely cooked fish, tasty coleslaw. Fairly priced. We'll be back every time we're in Cairns.
