Lovely café with a large interior and modern design. Indoor plants and timber accents provide a natural feel.
• Les Omlette – The omelette had a light texture and wasn’t overly dry, still retaining a bit of jiggle in the middle. There was a mixture of sharpness, funkiness and creaminess from the gruyere, parmesan and gouda, with a bonus pong of goats cheese crumbled on top. Very nice, but a little rich towards the end of the dish.
• Sweet Potato Hash – quite a nicely plated dish, but I was hoping there were would be more sweet potato in the hash. It was probably 85% potato with specks of orange sweet potato through it. The pulled lamb shoulder was indeed very tender, as it was slowly stewed and had a rich, distinctly lamby flavour. Perfectly poached egg and fried cubes of halloumi gave the dish more elements of richness, and towards the end, also felt quite heavy.
• Very nice coffee as well, my strong latte was on the chocolatey side, with tightly steamed milk.
I absolutely love this restaurant. The staff and owner is wonderful and I’ve eaten there a few times and they hosted my birthday function. Love the food and cocktails!! Also they do amazing coffees / chai lattes. I am often getting my coffees from here.
Juno and May. All around solid.
In particular the tagliatelle was very good. Had a balanced creaminess to the gamey taste of the rabbit. Also well plated (as were all the other dishes though).
The duck slightly sweet, not over though.
The coffee wasn't stand out, but was fine on it's own. Smooth.
A bit pricey, but highly satisfying. Not bad.
