Love the coffee and food here. The desserts are awesome. Shout out to Vivian and the team. Only met them recently since working from home and the highlight of my work day has become walking over for a coffee and treat!
Had an amazing brunch at linger cafe! The cafe is set up in what looks like an old chapel and has super cosy feels. We ordered the mushroom French toast and corn fritters. Both were delicious. The French toast was actually really nice with the mushrooms, a slight sweetness amongst well seasoned mixed mushrooms. The fritters were also tasty and not too dry or oily. For dessert we had a choux and the white rabbit. Loved the passion fruit and components in the choux but the white rabbit was amazing. Picture white chocolate mousse set upon matcha crumble. Tasted as good as it looked. Overall a great experience and will definitely be back!
We chose Linger for a birthday brunch as we had won a competition through instagram for a dessert and voucher. We ordered coffees each to start. For our meals we had Pork belly, Smoked salmon, Fried chicken burger, mushroom French toast and Corn fritters. All the dishes were tasty. My pork belly was cooked nice and soft, although I would have liked a sauce to complement it. The desserts were also well presented and tasty. Service was friendly but we only found out at the end that the voucher could only be used in the next visit so 4/5
Tried the new summer menu at Linger and enjoyed all the dishes I ordered. We picked the French toast, black bun brekky burger and the soft shell crab with scrambled eggs.
The soft shell crab was definitely my favourite ! The croissant was super soft, butter and flaky and it was such a yummy combo with the eggs ! Would definitely recommend this dish if you ever visit š„°
Coffee was also super smooth and creamy š
Invited out for brekkie, Linger is located in an old 100 year old church. We tried the crab and prawn linguine pasta, smoked salmon potato rosti, cold brew and the lemon tree dessert.
The pasta was cooked al dente and the flavours from the crab and prawns were amazing. The potato rosti was nice and crispy and pumpkin puree was a great sweet balance to a savoury dish. Lastly the lemon tree dessert is a work of art. It is made up of many different components like popping candy, raspberry crisp and yuzu mousse to name a few. It is light, refreshing and just the right portion size.
Overall a stunning cafe with an amazing menu. The desserts are next level creative and taste as good as they look. Highly recommended
I was initially drawn to Linger because of their adorable patisserie I saw on Instagram, but their main dishes receive just as much recognition. I tried their fritters which are traditional in taste and presentation but feature a generous serve of avo and haloumi, which is a huge perk in my mind. But the favourite dish I tried was the really unique and incredibly custardy savoury french toast. It had lots of different textural elements and a hint of sweetness and perfect texture.
Of course, the visit wasn't complete without cakes. The watermelon cake piqued my interest, although I was sceptical. But the combo of cream and soft cake and fresh watermelon was very complementary and so refreshing. I also got a limited edition pumpkin cheesecake with a graham cracker crust that evoked a strong American nostalgia in me. It's only available for Halloween but I wish it was a permanent menu item.
To wash everything down, I got a coffee and tried my partner's matcha latte which we both agreed was one of the best we've had. Don't forget the amazing space, which is a former church, as well as the really nice service. All in all, great experience.
I came here just for a coffee, and it was great! Full flavour and just perfectly made. Staff is really friendly and the place looks amazing. As a former church/chapel it has the beautiful high ceilings and big windows so there's lots of space and light. Absolutely recommend to go here.
A cozy and intimate cafe and patisserie. The Salmon stack was a highlight for me. Very tasty.
An interesting space! The quiet early weekend morning at Linger was just what we needed after a long busy week.
Kids free to roam free a little and experience their food without restriction.
Hubby had the mushrooms, served with French toast, an impressive plate but difficult to eat
I have poached eggs w halumi, beautifully cooked eggs and butter served with the toast.
Kids shared a scrambled eggs - big serve of the eggs and bacon but the toast was too crusty for little mouths.
We couldnāt come here without trying one of the little cakes - kids choice: the bunny, they loved eating its cute face and ears!

Me and my boyfriend were there for lunch on Sunday. The cafe decoration was so charming. We ordered
- the 12 hrs braised pork belly; the pork was cooked to perfection, soft and melt in your mouth meet with the crispy skin.
- Patisseries dessert was so pretty and yummy
Friendly service with lots of car park. I will definitely be back for more;)

Hidden gem in Camberwell.
We went there on a rainy weekend for brunch, no booking. They were very busy but managed to get us an inside table even before we were ready to place our order. The outside would be lovely on a day with good weather tho!
Service was good, coffee (mocha) was good - nothing too special. But the food was tops! The chilli scramble checked all the boxes. The Reuben sandwich was delicious. And the portions are very generous! We will be back š
Very cozy cafe. Decor and ambience was lovely. Outdoor dining available. Friendly and accommodating staff. Food was okay. Coffee was good. I highly recommend booking in advance as they were very busy when we visited over the weekend.
What a delightful spot for coffee, outdoors, or indoors, you can't go wrong.
Ambience is restful, and made more enjoyable because of the delicious little cakes to choose from.
Coffee is good, service friendly.
These are the cutest! We came here for the gorgeous and beautifully presented cakes. They were perfectly balanced proportions of fruit mousse, fruit and sponge cake. The results were light, sweet and softly textured creations that were Instagram worthy and an indulgence for the taste buds.
The Viet salad with calamari was refreshing and truly tasty. The angel hair pasta with crab was delicious too. But really the cakes were the main event.
The converted church hall with its mosaic patterned window coverings and ample greenery created a uniquely spacious, open feeling. Staff were attentive and helpful despite the bustling Sunday lunch crowd. We loved our experience here and hope Linger continues to flourish. It's places like this that uplifts Melbourne's gastronomic quality and cafe culture.
food was really good had the miso salmon; highly recommend. definitely come for outdoor seating when thereās nice weather. great ambiance.
Good atmosphere like a beautiful church.
I ordered cappuccino and burger.
The burger was a bit sweeter for me.
Nice place BUT do not trust the menu on the online booking system. Waitress said that everything in the cabinet is on the online menu...
The watermelon cake that was 'sold out' online was still available in the cabinet as we left š and whilst there were sausage rolls in the cabinet, it wasn't on the online menu!
