The food was excellent. The main was beautiful but huge. We celebrated our 53rd wedding anniversary there 3 years ago so to come back for this anniversary evoked warm and fuzzy feelings of that night.. then it was a gathering of extended family and friends from near and far. What a wonderful night made perfect by the food that was served and the service provided by the staff both before and during the event.
Last Tuesday was just the two of us. the food and service equal to 3 years ago. definitely recommend Bella Vista.. it is a 5 star restaurant.
My partner and I thoroughly enjoy our evening with great food and excellent service. We would strongly recommend anyone in the area gives this place a go, especially if you are looking for an intimate environment.
Today we get to visit an old food haunt, Bella Vista Italian Restaurant, which for me has a lot of memories. My first apartment was just up the road. Hubby and I had many a romantic dinner here. I even celebrated here when I finished my Science degree. I like to mark major occasions with eating. A good Italian restaurant is a beautiful thing and I think it is telling that it has been kicking around for so long. I must admit it had been years since I visited so I was pretty excited to revisit it for my friend Gioia’s bday.
Really enjoyed our beautiful meal, steak cooked just to hubbies liking my pasta very tasty. Staff very pleasant. Meal served reasonably quickly even though restaurant was almost fully booked.

Not bad. I've been to Bella Vista 3 or 4 times now and the food always tastes really good.
If you're looking for a nice place to dine on Emu Bank, then Bella Vista is definitely up there as one of my top choices.
When you walk into the restaurant, the interior is comfortable and relaxed. It's not ultra modern, but keep in mind Bella Vista has stood the test of time and has been operating for over twenty years. On weekends, it's very busy and it helps to make a booking in advance. Because it's so busy, the food can take quite a long time to arrive and waiters may not be as attentive. I suggest going here on a weekday - less traffic and a more enjoyable experience.
The portion size of most of the meals is quite large, and can be shared between two. I ordered an entree sized lamb salad today, and it was quite enough for a (light) main meal. Delicious, as always! I also liked the mixed platter. They have a good variety of seafood dishes, but I haven't ordered seafood at BV. They used to do a really good bruschetta but I can't find it on their current menu.
Desserts are quite good/ reasonable. Tiramisu was just ok. Esp as you can just go to woolies and get a big box of tiramisu for $7, or $5.50 if you're lucky.
A good place to treat your aunt for a birthday dinner. Every Canberran must try BV at least once.
Even though it was a full house, the waiting staff were exceptional (except for one girl who didn't seem to want to be there). The food was sensational and all delivered in very good time especially considering how busy the restaurant was. The overall dining experience was well worth the money. If you're going to eat at Bella Vista, make sure you have dessert! Four different desserts at our table and each one an absolute winner. Would go back just for coffee and dessert in a heart beat.
Great food, generous portions, friendly service and a good price. I've always left satisfied no matter what I've ordered. I wish all restaurants in Canberra were like this.
I’ve visited this restaurant quite a few times and have always enjoyed my visits. Great location, friendly staff and nice food with reasonable portion size. The seafood marinara risotto was delicious and seafood was fresh and nicely cooked. Chicken and mushroom pasta was also tasty. I’ll definitely visit again!
For all Italian food lovers one of the finest and authentic place to explore is "Bella Vista" based in Emu Bank, Belco.
Right from their entree to mains till desserts you have platora of scrumptious food options..I can bet it wont leave you disappointed. I felt bit on expensive side..but trust me it was worthit🤩 it will make your special occasion more special.. plus large variety of vines to go with your food.
In frame: Gamberi - Prawns delicacy for entrees, for mains we ordered Pollo al funghi and lamb meat served with beans and mash patato.. mama mia🥰 it was drooling 🤤 Thank You Team Bella Vista for amazing service ❤️
P.S - they are always booked specially on Friday and weekends so suggest a prior booking for a table👍🏻

We had a mid week lunch catchup for SIX people. We settled on just garlic bread and mains that day off their lunch menu. The bread was actually a garlic pizza and delicious. Four of the troops had veal options with a couple adding the prawns and choosing various sauces. I actually had the sirloin (requested rare) and the last person had the risotto. My steak was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a variety of veggies. My meal was seriously good. We ordered wine as well as a BYO.
Summary... service great, ambience, prices were good and view of lake was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals and will return. A great lunch enjoyed by all !!!
Love going to Bella Vista Restaurant - and not just because we got engaged there. The staff are lovely, the food is divine, and I always end up taking leftovers home due to ordering more than I can finish.
Restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has lovely views of Lake Gininderra.
We got the $55 banquet which was amazing. However when it came to the main and desert it was widely agreed that the steak was much better than the chicken which was very dry and really could have used a sauce. The deserts no one was a fan of the panacotta and we all would have preferred the perfitarolls.
Our family celebrated a few birthdays at this restaurant recently and it was a most enjoyable evening. The deserts were divine - the tiramisu was possibly the best I have ever had - at least the best I can remember❣️Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. The wagyu beef was good but not marbled like true wagyu. The John Dory ‘fish of the day’ was ‘melt in the mouth delicious! Looking forward to returning 4.5 ⭐️ from me!😊
Quickly becoming my new favourite Italian. Great food, bizarrely slow wait service though. It's like the waitresses are afraid to approach new customers. We don't bite, I promise!
