Love the food there!!! Cocktails is amazing ;)
I got the “deluxe feed me” set menu with additional kangaroo spring rolls and milk tea pannacotta.
The majority of the dishes were very nice with the highlights being:
-kangaroo spring rolls
-cheeseburger dumplings
-eggplant dish
Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the desserts. I did not like the thick crumb like coating of the deep fried ice cream. As for the pannacotta, I found that the milk tea flavour was weak and the salty biscuit crumbs on top clashed with the rest of the dessert.
Momoda is a modern Chinese restaurant and bar that recently opened in the Melbourne Building, occupying the space that was previously Soju Girl, another incredible Asian restaurant. I really liked Soju Girl so Momoda had big shoes to fill and I was excited to check it out when I was recently invited by the Australian Good Food Guide.
Attentive and very accommodating, polite staff. We got the deluxe feed me menu and it was definitely more food than we could eat! We ended up taking about a meal's worth home. It was acceptable quality for the price we paid.
The venue itself has a lot of capacity and has trendy Chinese decor on the walls. The way the space is being used makes the place feel like you're a small party in a very large room.
As at August there is also a problem with the flooring in the back - this didn't affect our experience but it's cordoned off and looks a bit out of place.

Saw the posters outside Melbourne building so give it a try. A really good hidden place for affordable cheap lunch today with my colleague! Filling and delicious. Great coffee as well from the manager!
Wonderful food with great flavours and presentation. Food is fresh and the menu has great range. Staff are helpful and friendly.
My girlfriend booked this place to celebrate my birthday. What a nice surprise it was.
We had the feed me banquet menu and every dish was excellent. It had taste, texture, complexity and delightful to look at. And also the variety of food are decent.
The waiter attending our table, was also knowledgeable about the dish and feel so welcoming.

Exceeded my expectations. This is my first visit though. We had the dandan noodles and the lamb main dish. If you are a big fan of the red, spicy dandan noodles and expecting something traditional, don't order their dandan noodles. If you want dandan noodles with a twist, then definitely try their version of it. The lamb main dish is a must-try. It's one of the best lamb dishes we've had. It goes very well with their Momoda lager beer (also a must-try for beer drinkers) especially on a hot summer day. We'll definitely visit again and try their other dishes.
Easily be our dating place. We were surprise with the vintage decor and the lantern. It looks amazing. The food was full of flavour, the Kingfish that we order was absolutely stand out, so refreshing. Chicken wings was super crispy great company with the egg yolk sauce, Momoda fried rice was delightful!
The latest $15 2 courses lunch express is reli good especially the Sichuan Dan Dan noodles!! And only an extra 2 bucks for a drink! Will be back soon!
