the soup noodles taste nicer than the john st outlet. this outlet is more spacious. love that the staff all speak vietnamese. the only dish which i think the other outlet taste better would be the bun hoi bo la lot , nicely grill and marinated. totally remind me of vietnam local restaurant
Very delicious Bun bo hue, noodles were cooked well and the soup had great flavour highly recommend having it here over any other store & pork chop rice packed a lot of flavour.
Delicious Vietnamese food. My favourites are the spicy beef noodle soup and bamboo duck soup. Both broths tastes good. Plenty of veggies and meat. The combo of barrumundi two ways is also nice.
This place serves extremely generous toppings, noodles and soup! Ordered 2 pho, 1 bbh and duck noodle soup for 4 of us :)! The soup was well balanced. I loved my pho noodles tonight! Will be back when we are back in Sydney.
Best place in Cabramatta to have the Vietnamese dish, bun bo hue. The prices are reasonable, but their broth and toppings are bomb! You can also make it spicy - if you’re a spice lover, which makes it taste 10times better! It still tastes really good without the spices, the broth is just soo juicy and full of flavour! Definitely, a go-to place if you want something soupy that is different from pho.
Like all the best Vietnamese restaurants in Sydney, there's not too much that's fancy about Dong Ba, just authentic, quick and delicious food. I've been here twice now for their signature Bún bò Huế and would highly recommend it.
For $11 you get a HUGE, steaming bowl of fragrant soup made from simmering beef bones and flavoured with lemongrass and chilli oil, filled with noodles, super thin, tender slices of marinated beef, tripe, pigs blood jelly (and potentially some other bits and pieces haha!) sliced onion, lemon, herbs and greens. Note: You can ask for your Bún bò Huế with beef slices only (i.e. no funny bits!)
The chilli oil floating on the surface can look scary if you're not a big fan of spice, but Dong Ba's version is very mild in my opinion. I actually wish this was much hotter! You can always request chopped fresh chillis or add chilli sauce if you'd like to up the ante. There are always fresh vietnamese drinks like ice coffee and avocado shake to cool down with :)
If someone can name me a better place for BUN BO HUE in Cabramatta than DONG BA, then you are mistaken. By far what you get, your greens, your blood jelly, your briskets, tribe, spicy soup noodle. This is where you get it. Everything made in this large bowl of excellency is just marvellous. Always buy the same BUN BO HUE everytime and always managed to finish the soup with added lemon juice, and satay and hoi sin sauce in it.
The Bun Bo Hue/spicy beef noodle soup bowls they give here are massive, and quite tasty and good value for $11. It didn't take a very long time for my meal to come after ordering, so overall a pleasant experience at this restaurant.
No frills Vietnamese eatery in the heart of Cabramatta, serving up Massive bowls of noodle soup. Famous for their Bun Bo Hue (spicy pork noodle soup) which is a must try if you like a little bit of spice... wouldn't say it's over powering. Range of other dishes available if noodle soup isn't your thing. Great value for money and staff always smiling and laughing. Can get very busy during the day on weekends
This is what I have to say about this place: best special pho I've ever had in Cabramatta, period.
We ordered Bun Bo Hue, which is one of the tradition noodle spicy soup of VietNam, tastes amazingly delicious. It is quite spicy although I love spicy food. My partner ordered Com Suon, he said it does not have enough rice for him and the bi was cold. However, to boost the point the avocado smoothie is really good. We will come back.
Prices still relatively cheap, food comes out fast, a bit bigger inside than other places in Cabramatta. Food wise it’s good quality my Nam Veng noodles was 80% of the way I like it. I would come back
Great people, super kind! My grandmother came in last week, and had some spring rolls and salad. Very grateful for the love shown to her.
She said the food is delicious !
Our second time having meal here and I must say so far it is the best Pho around in Cabramatta.
Service is not really what you will expected like in fine dining due to shortage of staff most of the time.
The soup base is really good - flavourful and thick. Beef was also generously served.
Compare to other restaurant in Cabramatta, their cleanliness is not too bad. At least there were not much of dirty tables unattended after customers left.
I've only ordered the "Bun Bo Hue" dish here. It's been very consistent and tastes good to me. Pictures don't do it justice, it tastes a lot better than it looks 😅. It's also slightly spicy for those who can't handle spice.
The place looks run down but dont let that fool you. The service is top notch, the boss was so friendly and I felt like he knew me for a long time even thought it's my first visit. He made me feel at home at the restaurant.
The goat hotpot is absolutely the bomb. It was so flavourful and filled with a lot of goat meat and vegetables. The hotpot can feed a family of 4 or 5. Highly recommend this place. However do note take away boxes cost $1 each which I thought was a little expensive.
I’m really particular with my bun bo hue and I’m quite impressed with their soup base! Wish they used better quality blood jelly other than that definitely coming back.
