Probably one of the best places to eat in Perth! Highly recommend for an exotic dining experience - every foodie must try steam boat dinner service. 5 stars - Amazing!
Food was amazing ! The iPad ordering system was a great experience - what you see in the picture is what you get on your plate - options to change heat !! - spicy duck was amazing - (hot). The whole experience was great- I'll be back
The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, but I did find it slightly complicated to order. But overall I loved the restaurant.
This was the first time my husband and I have had hot pot and we weren’t disappointed. Although we have nothing to compare it to the service was good, everything explained once they knew it was our first time and the food was delicious. Will definitely return!
Very busy place but service is always quick. Have had hot pot here before but last night had the braised pork belly which was very nice. Great that you can choose how spicy you like the food and if you require any items not to be added. Nice place
Great atmosphere. A true Chinese restaurant that my friends and I enjoyed. Food was excellent, service quick and friendly. Thank you Kung Fu kitchen for an awesome Chinese food and atmosphere experience.
Prepare to line-up during the weekends, but weekdays should be fine!
Parking is relatively easy as theres Harvey Norman next door and also kungfu reserved parking
Prices are reasonable
We have tried the hot-pot and some of the noodles
First of all- the hotpot you can choose up to 4 different soups and order many toppings! My favourite was the crab cakes it was SO YUM.
The soups however- if you are used to the vietnamese hot pot it may be a little different as the ones here have a strong scent/ smell.
Next we tried the chicken spicy noodle and it was sooo yummy! Would get that again
Overall, a delicious sichuan restaurant
Got stuck in the area one day at lunchtime and had a hankering for Chinese. In honesty it was only a serious dip in blood sugars that had me pull into a restaurant, on the hwy in Cannington, with a name like Kung Fu kitchen.
What a find..... this is a truly authentic sichuan food right here in Perth never mind Cannington.
Nevertheless they knew what they were doing locating there cause the place was packed. My family were the only Caucasians that day.
The menu is packed with all kinds of exotic Chinese delicacies like duck heads and pieces of the digestive system. Can't say this is my thing but there are plenty of choices that do not involve unusual body parts.
The food is hot, and I mean hot so if you cannot handle decent levels of chilli you'll be happier in the food court across the hwy.
If however you want flavours that leap out of the bowl and slap you in the face then do not miss the Kung Fu kitchen experience. It's wonderful!
I'm very careful who I take there but those I have are just as inspired as we are by this hidden treasure. Of course it's not hidden to our Chinese population as you will see for yourself.
The ordering system is interesting and involves tablets and lots of photos, helpful as the waiting staff don't always have great English. Your wallet will not suffer either.
Im very pleased with my experience at your restaurant! We loved the food! Very quick to come and delicious! The staff were so friendly to explain how everything works! Definitely will come back!
We were really craving for this kungfu hotpot and went there in the afternoon, but unfortunately they do not serve hotpot in the afternoon but they offered us the mini hotpot so we thought it was a good idea.
Based on my understanding and what I have seen, I was expecting a mini size hotpot which I could atleast cook by myself but it turned out to be a mixture of everything that is already cooked in the kitchen and served in a bowl for us. I was quite surprise with that, that should not be called a hot pot.
Other than that, waitstaffs were quite nice and the other foods were okay too.
Truth Be Told Australia
+3.5
In need of a warm chicken soup on a rainy Sunday lunch . We decided to try Kung Fu Kitchen. Large open restaurant, very busy and very organised . We were lucky enough to get a table straight away. & the friendly waiter explained the iPad menu and service system. The menu is HUGE! And prices are good ...M chose the pork belly with rice , which was fresh and tasty. It came out really quick . I chose the chilli chicken noodle soup , it came out about 10mins after , which is not great. I was ready for my chilli kick . Noodles we're amazing, chilli punch was spot on, chicken was moist. But the dish was far too oily to enjoy, which was disappointing.
I love spicy food, but not the spicy-numbing (Sichuan) food, which is what this place is mainly about. But will always be back here to have the shared hotpot with friends. Love the mushroom soup, a soup base that sits well with everyone in a group, whether you like spicy/non-spicy. The soup just gets tastier as you add your side meat and veg dishes in to cook. If you want more spice in your food, there's always sauces on the side for individual. Love their own-made noodle too; great texture.
A nice little sweet treat for starter- Fried Chinese Bun.
