We called into La Maison Patisserie in Cheltenham shops on our way to drop in on family for afternoon tea. They had a good range of cakes, pies, tarts, slices, biscuits and pastries. All looked delicious so it was hard to choose. I am somewhat of a custard fiend so that helped shape our decision. We chose a chocolate eclair which, while it wasn't as elegant as I've seen before, was a perfect lite choux pastry. The mille feuille pastry was still crunchy and tasted fresh while the custards was full of vanilla flavour. The lemon tart had a pleasant lemon taste (you would hope it would) but lacked the "pucker worthy" rating I give to only a few curds out there. We finally agreed on the tri level mousse which was easier to cut up than I anticipated so perhaps a little more gelatinous than moussey. I would have purchased a lemon meringue had they not sold out... a popular item we were told.
La Maison also sold coffee and had pies and sausage rolls in a pie warmer or to take home cold for later. A great little find.

I’ve tried a couple of cakes now! The lemon Meringue cake was absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! Handmade too! Kevin, I think the owner, was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend you trying this place!
Got a almond flour chocolate cake here for my partners birthday. Was amazing. Looked like it was going to be too rich but the inside had a delicious flavour which made it irresistible
Friendly, local French bakery with delicious pastries and tarts. Fantastic range to choose from and a wonderful treat to have with a coffee. I bought the berry clafoutis and it was delicious.
Absolutely Amazing Lemon Tart and the take home size Creme Brulee was heaven. Thanks Kevin for the amazing food, will be sure to return to this beautiful family run business. A+++
Absolutely fabulous birthday cake that they made for my wife's special birthday. So helpful and friendly staff. Thank you so much. Highly recommended.
Where do I start? The owner and staff are exemplanary in this business. Always smiling, nothing is too difficult for them and the welcoming is almost a “come home feel”.
I am quite a difficult customer when it comes to coffee. The coffee here is like no other.
There has never been a time where the sweets have disappointed. Very very fresh !
I highly recommend La Maison Patisserie to the most fussy and not so fussy patron.
Keep up the incredible work guys.
Cakes are delighful. Kevin knows his stuff and is more than happy to help. Brilliant. Do yourself a favour and drop in for a cake and coffee. Reasonably priced. Such a pleasure to deal with where they catered for a recent celebration for me. Beautiful people.
