A good family oriented pub with a excellent range of beers brewed on site. Their menu is really rather interesting for a pub, with a lot of traditional fare as well as more modern offerings. They used to offer wings which unfortunately they do not anymore as I loved them - the buffalo bites are not a suitable substitute (and not particularly good value)! I had the steak which was ok, nothing spectacular.
I think I could say the same about all the food, a nice standard but not exceptional. However, the service was good, the range of beers is excellent and it's a good place for a family with young kids to have a nice meal out (and someone to please everyone). The prices are standard pub prices. It's a good local to have especially if you're a beer lover.
Came here after my graduation and had a great time with my family. Started with a few drinks in the casual bar, then walked into a more finer sit down restaurant. We all ordered various meals. I had the pork belly, and was overly delighted with my meal. Crispy and chewy, I recommend it. Others had burgers and what not that were happy with theirs. It’s a little pricey for what it is, and also the menu itself doesn’t have a lot of options. It’s mainly parmas or burgers, or anything else is more expensive.
Would come again!
We celebrated Fathers Day with the family at CH Brewpub today. This pub was really nicely decked out inside with an open fireplace and a windowed wall looking into the inner workings of the brewery.
The menu had classic pub fare including burgers and parmas and also some great steak dishes. I choose the slow cooked beef cheeks which was so rich and tender and served with a beetroot purée and potato lattice.
Others on our table rated the calamari burger and the lamb back strap.
A great relaxed venue with friendly staff who provided good service.
Had dinner there tonight. The beer selection was amazing and it's a cosy space with an open fireplace, which was nice on a very cold Melbourne Winter night. Portions were very generous too.
The menu was great, but we found both our mains were quite considerably too salty.
The two dishes (bangers and mash + veggie burger and chips) were actually salty to the point that it detracted from the experience.
Otherwise though, this is a really good pub. I'd like to give them another chance. Hopefully it was just a slip up on this particular night.
Best pub in town! Really great pub food and rotating beers. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Don't let the dark exterior fool you, happening pub on the weekend with lots of functions and locals in for a drink.
Great spot for a casual drink and meal. The pool table is the main attraction for me. Love the casual vibes on a Sundee afternoon. Thank you Clifton Brew Pub!
Absolutely LOVED this place. The food was truly delicious with a good range of choices. Best calimari and kangaroo we have had in years. Shame we didn't have room for dessert.
Really friendly and attentive staff too and a great selection of their beers to try.
Nice decor too and because the restaurant area was carpeted the noise level was fairly low - which is a real bonus nowadays. Will definitely be back.
Good location, really beautiful interior! Was clean and cosy inside however very roomy. Staff were super friendly which was lovely. A lot of different options on the menu to choose from. Burgers were nice, chips were good. Was a bit pricey though. Will be back!
Awesome place for some decent pub food. Some new modern twists but nothing too fancy. Will definitely be back here again.
Mexi-Parma was delish!
Underrated! The urban ale is such a good beer. Cheap paddles too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
