A good family oriented pub with a excellent range of beers brewed on site. Their menu is really rather interesting for a pub, with a lot of traditional fare as well as more modern offerings. They used to offer wings which unfortunately they do not anymore as I loved them - the buffalo bites are not a suitable substitute (and not particularly good value)! I had the steak which was ok, nothing spectacular.
I think I could say the same about all the food, a nice standard but not exceptional. However, the service was good, the range of beers is excellent and it's a good place for a family with young kids to have a nice meal out (and someone to please everyone). The prices are standard pub prices. It's a good local to have especially if you're a beer lover.
Came here after my graduation and had a great time with my family. Started with a few drinks in the casual bar, then walked into a more finer sit down restaurant. We all ordered various meals. I had the pork belly, and was overly delighted with my meal. Crispy and chewy, I recommend it. Others had burgers and what not that were happy with theirs. It’s a little pricey for what it is, and also the menu itself doesn’t have a lot of options. It’s mainly parmas or burgers, or anything else is more expensive.
Would come again!
We celebrated Fathers Day with the family at CH Brewpub today. This pub was really nicely decked out inside with an open fireplace and a windowed wall looking into the inner workings of the brewery.
The menu had classic pub fare including burgers and parmas and also some great steak dishes. I choose the slow cooked beef cheeks which was so rich and tender and served with a beetroot purée and potato lattice.
Others on our table rated the calamari burger and the lamb back strap.
A great relaxed venue with friendly staff who provided good service.
