Couldn’t fault a thing. Service was great, genuine, attentive and authentic. Food was great, again, authentic so much depth and perfectly executed. The menu was spot on. Bonus points would be for a heater outside. But i would wear extra layers if needed to eat a meal here.
Olives with their own restaurant baked bread …the bread was so soft and the olives paired so well with it.
Rigatoni - pork suffused pasta with an amazing flavour . Not at all pretentious, but exactly as described and amazing to eat.
Special on the night - spicy pasta with fresh cooked prawns. Light ocean flavours without overloading the pasta. The spice was on the tongue and missed the lips all together. WOW.
I don’t do restaurant critiques but if I did, it would be a good one. Never been here before, but I’ll come back. Megan was our server, and she, like the other staff was amazing friendly, efficient and really pleasant. Apparently this place changed owners and 99% of the staff. You could not see it. Well oiled machine and amazing food and service.
Lots of seating choices, very beachside feeling. We had the Wagyu beef burger and fish burger. It was a bit pricey but given that it's Rottnest island, we understand goods will always be more expensive than Perth. I didn't like the bun as I felt it was very pasty... Otherwise It's a simple place for quick service I reckon!
