ドミおいしい!Really delicious food, fantastic host was personable and outfit is great. Love that the tea was served in Kyushu pot. Highly recommend; keep your eyes on this place! The music was really good too! Would love to see some live acoustic shows here (maybe in the future?) Best okonomiyaki I've had in Melbourne ありがとございます!( ◠‿◠ )

Adorable little Japanese cafe known for its authentic Osaka-style Okonomiyaki. Loved mismatching furnitures and cute decorations - very homely and relaxing :) Grabbed Seafood Okonomi-Yaki ($16) & Shouga-Yaki Donburi ($13).
Okonomi-Yaki had generous amounts of fresh seafoods and vegetables. It was flavorful and savoury especially with its special home-made sauce. Unparalleled compared to any other okonomiyaki I had in Melbourne! Donburi was average (not worth it) Highly recommend a visit

The food was authentic and carefully made (which constantly reminded us about the food we savoured in Japan) and drinks were really refreshing. We really liked the okonomiyaki. Matsu and Akira were super cute and friendly to their customers.

The ambience was quirky yet cozy; in accompaniment with the pleasant service made it feel like dining at a friend’s home as to a restaurant.

Most importantly the food was absolutely delicious, nothing crazy fancy like the trend of most Japanese brunch/lunch places nowadays, but you could really tell each dish was cooked with love and care.

I would highly recommend their okonomiyaki and the omurice (with their homemade special sauce)!

Cutest little place with Japanese decor and quirky items for sale. Really polite lovely staff, very good Okonomiyaki. We did ask whether the yaki soba was vego and asked for no bonito but it came out with some. We just scraped them off all good! Highly recommend a visit- it is a small place so so allow a bit of time if you’re visiting.

The food is ok, probably will try their dessert next time. The vibe is so good!

Papirica has a quaint interior with small Japanese goods for sale that match the simplicity to the menu.

We ordered the omu-rice and okonomiyaki, the latter of which is featured as the signature dish.
The okonomiyaki was great value for money with its crisp, saucy exterior and fluffy inside.

Bonus - Papirica also has many vegetarian options on their menu!

We were seated along the window, a perfect spot to be eating Japanese comfort food as the rain poured down.

I did not expect it to be a small restaurant, but the atmosphere is quite cozy. I really like the Japanese style decorations. I ordered omu-rice, okonomi-yaki and chestnut red beans soup. I like okonomi-yaki better then omu-rice as it gives more flavour. The red beans soup is a bit sweet so it’s not my type. But overall the experience is great.

we've been here about 5 times and were not even from Melbourne. very underrated place. good luck finding somewhere else that does a great vegan okonomiyaki. the seafood okonomiyaki is fantastic too and has that authentic taste. they use good quality ingredients and you will feel satisfied / full after.

An unassuming cafe that serves such amazing and generous food! Been here a few times and it's definitely the best kept secret everyone should know about. A little slice of Japan in Melb

My partner introduced this place to me so we decided to visit on a Saturday afternoon. Queued for about 15 minutes at the door but when we got a table, we love what we saw inside the place. They have some really cool Japanese crafty goods and merchs, very cool and very hip. I ordered a seafood okonomiyaki and it was the best I have ever in Melbourne. Very authentic Japanese and very tasty!!! Highly recommended!!! Will come back again!!!

Great katsu sando using their house made shokupan and seafood okonomiyaki. Coffee could be improved by using more robust coffee beans.

Visited this most peaceful and adorable Japanese cafe to have my last meal in Melbourne - the decor was cute and whimsical, and the omurice was lovely to behold and delicious to eat. The rice is mixed with edamame, tenkasu (dried soybeans deep-fried in sesame oil - made by the owner himself) and miso. The sauce is similar to - or may be the same as - the sauce for their okonomiyaki (their signature dish) - think a tangy ketchup/Worcestershire/soy. I would love if they'd do a curry omurice as well. I also got a daifuku mochi to go and it was sealed with this too-cute little sticker. It made it safely back to Sydney with me and was delicious also. IG: @shazlikesponies

Okonomiyaki is good. Like the Yuzu soda. Waiting time is quite long (about 30 mins for the food) but good service
