Very yummy scrolls, pastries and really good coffee.
The presentation is amazing. Went there about a month ago . Someone mentioned they are selling via the back lane now.
So many pretty things to choose from! I think I've pretty much tried most of the cruffins and scrolls with my fellow scroll enthusiast friend. My favourites are definitely the ferero rocher scroll and the passionfruit meringue cruffin. Overall, most of the flavours are a little too sweet and the texture can be pretty soggy, but definitely a good place to go for a sugar kick.
We bought takeaway from here. 2 scrolls, a blueberry lemon custard one and a Nutella one. We bought it around lunchtime and had it a little after tea and it was still beautifully crisp, buttery and layered! The blueberry and lemon custard was just the right balance of beautiful berrylicious and velvety tart. The Nutella one was... well, what can I say... it was perfect!
Looking for a crossiant I had heard about this place so I was keen to try this place.
And I'm really glad i did. I had a plain crossiant which was light and fluffy, full of butter and it tasted good so I knew it was bad haha
Yummmm this was good. Def worth a visit!
My oh my, Eat A Scroll - heavenly! Just the cutest space in Collingwood- light filled, airy with bright fun prints on the wall.
Scrolls all look amazing, it was hard to choose one I opted for the Nutella and caramel and it was delicious so soft with a healthy serve of Nutella - coffee was good also but scalding hot hence the 4.5 but otherwise a wonderful place run by a all female team who were very sweet
I’m mostly a big fan of the scrolls over at Eat a Scroll, only up the road a little from the donutsam residence. To put it lightly, they’re a massive step up from the bricks that popped up at Oregano which I cannot fathom why anyone would want to consume. Too heavy, too much regret. Here, from the mean streets of Collingwood, it’s a fluffy, cloud-like affair at $4.50 with the scrolls being delicate and topped with such much lighter fluids like custard and cream cheese icing. Not overly sweet, not dense, a good variety of flavours. Eat a Scroll also offers an unexpected range of non-scroll options, but I haven’t tried any of these yet. In fact, I only came here for the scrolls. And they’re good. So go.
If Marie Antoinette were alive today she would never have uttered her famous phrase....instead she would probably be found in Collingwood espousing the digestive merits of scrolls!
And at the (supplanted) sage urgings of this time honoured phrase we ate some scrolls and how good they were.
We were dissuaded from any thoughts of an uprising by an assorted selection of six of the best:
Blueberry
Coffee
Nutella
Traditional
Raspberry and rose
Salted caramel
All exquisite. So much so that the ensuing fight over who got what lead to spoons at dawn! I lost out on the salted caramel which was reputed to have been f-ing good!
But I more than made up for it with sole custody of the coffee and Nutella.
The remainder of the spoils divided equally.
So take heed of the instructions, get to Collingwood and do as the sign says!
SO GOOD. Impossible to choose so opted for the tasting pack. If I had to choose a favourite it would be the salted caramel swiftly followed by the raspberry/rose and the berries and cream (I think?), bit that would be because I don't like chocolate or nuts! Would definitely return for more abs to try the cruffins.
I've tried the raspberry, nutella and the ferrero rocher scrolls and still want more. They're fresh and soft and delicious. They hit the spot any time of the day.
Expensive Delicious Habit.
+4.5
Everything from this shop is seriously good. I first visited when it was a pop-up, and was very happy when they converted to their permanent location. Most recently I tried the caramel cream cruffin- my first cruffin and a great one to start off with! The flavours are always fantastic and the texture is perfect. Coffees are good too, and everyone who works there is super friendly!
I came into popup scroll last month, the scrolls are absolutely scrumptious, esp
the delightful cream cheese scroll, this place is great for a 'pop in' coconut coffee with your scroll as
well! I will be telling my friend and family. Hannah Collingwood.
Cool but cheerful atmosphere and awesome scrolls. Pretty sweet but awesome all the same. Yum.
