Probably the best battered Flathead and chips I've had!! Highly recommend.
Can't understand the poor ratings this little gem of a fish and chip shop has had. We've bought takeaways 3 times in the last 2 months and it has all been excellent (and we're fussy people!). Fresh fish, fresh oil, very thin batter and the crispiest chips I've had for years. And the lady who served us was friendly and helpful - the other reviewers must have been very demanding or rude because she was great. This is our number 1 choice for an after beach meal - you can take your food across the road to the beach or the beautiful park (complete with playground for the kids). If I could give it 10 stars I would!
Great barra meal. Recently had battered barra, chips and salad for dinner with friend. Highly recommend the food and service at this establishment. Could have eaten in but had takeaway and went over to the park opposite.
Great meal!. We had an early dinner here this afternoon, and could not fault it. Fantastic service - we got our food in about 5mins. We had our dog with us, and were able to sit at the tables in front of the shop with him. One of the guys behind the counter brought out a water bowl for our dog, and gave him a bonus bit of bacon! The food was really great - an ocean pearch and a barramundi with chips and salad. The fish was cooked to perfection, and serving sizes were good. A lovely find, and we'll definitely be back!
We've eaten here with the old owners and now with the new - and it's much better now. Flathead is always fresh, the batter is very very light and crispy and unlike Tobie Wallace I love the scallops - 10 out of 10 - thin slices of real potato in a thin batter - perfect! And the same with the chips - rough cut and crispy. There may be a better fish and chip shop on the coast but I haven't found it. Highly recommended.
Read reviews and thought I'd give it a go.. best fish ever had!! Great friendly service. Great location . Went back to get tartare sauce and he asked how the meal was and told me to have a great day. Next time I'm back from Adelaide, I will be eating here!! 6/5
We have only been here since the new owners and love it. They are very friendly and the kitchen is extremely clean, unlike other dirty fish and chip shops. The seafood is cooked beautifully. Highly recommend!!
