The best wine list (highly recommend ‘Paul Barra sparkling Rose’) and the slow braised lamb!!! Great vibe, ambience and food. Have been coming here on Friday and Saturday nights - the busiest periods and always over whelmed with how good the experience is. Thank you!!!!!!!

Another wonderful dinner. Great dishes, very efficient and pleasant service. Looking forward to my next good time at Barrel. Focaccia; calamari. arancini, cauliflower and sticky date pudding.

Barrel Bar is putting out incredible lockdown meal packs! We have finally started trying them, and have been so impressed with the care that goes into the food & careful packaging. We enjoyed their latest wine tasting SO much and were blown away with how well thought-out the little bottles & tasting notes page were. And the cheese matching was awesome too! This must've taken a HUGE amount of planning and it made it really fun. Loving their meal offerings that change every week, and the flexibility- just ring up and they can do vegetarian options or change the package to suit what you want. Oh- the mulled wine! Fabulous.

Top venue, we sat in the bar dining section and had the home-made gnocchi, arrancini balls and home-made focaccia, complimented by a great Sangiovese :-) Great atmosphere, excellent service and ideal location to Hayden Orpheum.

I’m a fan of how hearty Barrel Bar is, both the food and the people. We were part of the Orpheum crowd with a live show starting at 8pm. The waitress was amazing in the way she made sure our dishes came out well in advance of ‘door opening time’. I saw her multitasking up a storm! And somehow she had time to be personable as well. Great show Barrel Bar!

Barrel just recently catered my wife's 40th birthday party. We had around 40 guests. Tony, Alex, and the rest of the Barrel team did an absolutely amazing job. The food was plentiful and delicious. See attached photo of the stunning grazing board as evidence! Everyone commented on how great everything was. We would definitely use Barrel again in the future for event catering. Thanks, Barrel!

Went there with my parents and had a lovely meal. It was happy hour when we went so we got cheap drinks (5-7AUD). The food was delicious, though both the fish and steak were quite small. I think you'd probably need s couple side dishes to be full, especially if you're s big eater. The souffle was amazing! Absolutely recommend it. I forgot to take photos of our other dishes (was too hungry). Service was friendly and quick. Though some of the staff were brand new and not really familiar with things. Didn't affect our dining experience though!

Service was excellent, terrific range of drinks. Food was very tasty! The ragu, the focaccia and the arancini were standouts. Thank you! We will be back.
